Well my mother never understood why I enjoyed the game so much and I finally got her to play. It was a strike mission in the F-16. She took off approached the objective and released the GBU-12s they landed short of the target (but the wing man got the target) then she got engaged by the AAA and this point she started to panic a little bit. I was fighting back laughs and trying to help her out. I was telling her to turn right (she was doing 400 mph) she moved the stick too much and one moment she was blacking out and the next redding out. I took everything over. I'm going to get to do a close air support mission next. I'll try to get some screen shots on that one.

Some people just need to try, in order to understand. Good on ya, Mom! If I can get my wife to try, THAT would save me mass headache.

I only got my father to try SF2:Vietnam once. He could not get the hang of how to maneuver the F-4. He is much more into First Person Shooters going all the way back to Wolfenstein 3D on the 3.5" floppy.

Nice to know, those are always interesting experiences ! Allow me to share my experience with you:

Thanks to flight sims, I already took my girlfriend to see the Egypt's pyramids, (on my Free Falcon 5 days), Iceland (on SF 2: NA), even took her to "buzz the tower" at NAS Miramar (on TOPGUN: Fire at Will !) years ago.

Guess what: although I've taken her to travel to those memorable places without she had to spend a dime, she always looked at me with contempt... sad, very sad - there's people who are just plain ungrateful.
