Elephant your young eyes must be better than mine.

The repeating cloud patterns are not obvious to me.

Beautiful shots though; especially the first.

While waiting for the Albatros FM to be corrected in patch 1.15 to continue my Jasta 5 career, I started a RFC 32 campaign in May 1916.

Bonne chance, Francois!

He will need it...  I'm still struggling to control WOFF planes (installed last week) and opposition is good !

You mean, you are also just only starting with WOFF, Corsaire?

Me too - I haven't been able to fly much recently, but after Patch 1.15 the Albatros behaviour

seems improved to me, and I have four pilots waiting for me to fly them.

I hope to hear more of your deeds; I'll report of mine here soon.

Yes in the beginning I thought I would wait 6 months before jumping in, but I saw everyone had fun and bugs were ironed out rather fast. The Albatros is corrected , we are still waiting for the Spads to regain some speed. Since I start my careers usually first half of 1916 I have some fly time before getting to the Spads and they will be fixed by then. Bletchley has started working on his missions, and I am sure other modders are already active in the backstage.

So I decided to go for it ( Game and Skinpack) and I'm happy with it now that I have tried a few things and configured keys and axes to my taste ( Logitech 12 buttons joystick + Saitek rudder + Saitek Quadrant ) After problems with sweet FX (can't get it to work, Woff crashes right on start) I reverted to the good old ENB I was using with OFF and it does the trick.

I have 3 squadrons running at the moment : RNC 32 for the Brits, Esc. 69 for France and my usual Jasta 5 career I transported from OFF. Every time a pilot dies (which is rather often for the time being...) I enlist a new pilot a week later and carry on.

Wow! Never seen anything like this!

Yeah, if we Germans can do one thing very good, it is marching or flying accurately in one straight line.

Here are the first shots from my first sortie with Jasta 5.

It was an eventless patrol, which allowed me to familiarise myself with the "big bird",

the Albatros D.V. The aces already received the Albatros D.III (OAW), but I must say

I like the D.V - at least for flying around sightseeing.

The future will surely bring air combats too - I wonder how she will behave in those.

The skin is a revamped one from OFF my days - for Jasta 5 I still like that little raven,

drawn by Wilhelm Busch. It has an unfortunate fate though - it flies through an open

window into the rooms of an old widow, where it is doing some cheeky things, drinks

a glass of liquor (my picture), and final strangles itself accidently in some knitting

wool. Fits my past fates with Jasta 5 - I never got very far there.

Hopefully this time - or I must change my emblem...

Yep, Mai, Rumey and Dilcher were in my flight - all with their personal skins!

Nice skin, Olham! sporting your ghost greyish lilac...

Remember the headache it gave us trying to configure that hue?

I have done some work myself on the type, mostly correcting things Arto missed or misinterpreted,

in his new, fabulous D.V-D.Va template.

I have reworked some details of the old template I will sent them to you, if you want.

Here is what I have done so far on the default D.V skin (by Arto)

(after his given permission)

1. Added missing bolts to the fuselage below cockpit.

2. Removed from the starbord side the rigging instructions sheet.

(could be on either side, most commonly port, but not in both)

3. Changed the nose Idflieg and factory placards with proper Johannisthal ones

(Arto was using OAW type) on the nose and added them on the wings as well.

4. Added bases to the strut braces.

5. Removed the wing root rigging loop base to it's proper position.

(now corresponds to the actuall rigging of the 3d model as well)

6. Removed the default "Nicht auftreten!" inscrtiption and replaced in proper position.

7. Added the wing pulley inspection hatch on the upper wing and

missing sets of bolts in the surrounding area. (pulley hatch doesn't look perfect... too much stretching up there...)

Also changed colour to the portrayed  Teves & Braun radiator

(should be left bare metal instead of painted in primer colour).

Few things still left to do, for example the upper wing cross on the right side is a bit misplaced

(should be shifted a bit to the wingtip)... but it's kind of tricky to do now and no one will notice the difference.

It would be great if we had basic layered templates to start from like in RoF.
