Olham Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 That's a great Staffel you are flying with, Robert - and good tactics you used. Jasta 10 was part of MvR's group JG1, together with Jasta 4, Jasta 6 and Jasta 11. I was only once assigned to lead a flight yet. When I tried to use the leader's commands "Rejoin" or "Attack", they didn't work. Am I missing something there? Quote
corsaire31 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) The wingman commands have been totally changed, you should read about it ... Download the "Player Commands" pdf file from the Over Flanders Fields website Edited March 8, 2014 by corsaire31 Quote
Olham Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Now that was an "eye-opener" for one with his eyes closed; thanks, Corsaire. I admit, I hate reading long instructions, but these are short and clear. And I had thought those commands had remained the same as in OFF. I have bookmarked the PDF page. Quote
corsaire31 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I printed them and they are on my desk with the general key commands ! Quote
Olham Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 This time we seemed to have picked the wrong fight. They had called us from the lines - intruding two-seaters. We realised too late that they were an ace flight of Brisfits! Damn, my tank was pierced faster than I could spell "Albatros", and quickly my engine cut out (great realism, OBD!). Quote
Olham Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The pilot of that Biff was a very good flyer - and very determined. Here is an excerpt from THE AERODROME about him: In 1917, Lieutenant Holliday was posted to France with 48 Squadron. Between April and July of that year, he and his observers scored seventeen victories flying the Bristol Fighter. Quote
corsaire31 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 The Biff is a great plane, one of my favourites flying Rise of Flight, specially with a human gunner. Didn't try it in WOFF yet, but the time will come ... Quote
Deadhead Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 A couple of shots from my trip to Paris in QC. I recreated the skin from the old OFF one ( cos i'm tight ) Quote
Deadhead Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 A few more , again showing the Jacobs Dr1 over Paris and the rest just random as I try different A/c. Quote
Olham Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) Deadhead, Did you visit the "ladies of the night" there? (One night in Paris is like a year in any other place...) I wonder how though - you could hardly land your Dreidecker in a road ... ? ***** What a grand Sunday I had today with WOFF - damn, is this sim good! But see yourself... Deadhead Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Just some what-if cammo schemes ive been playing with Quote
Olham Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Great stuff, Deadhead - I like especially the Brisfit! Quote
Olham Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 When this Frenchman was defenseless after our fight, I thought I'd let him put his crippled kite down. And then came our ace Jakob Wolff and shot him to Smithereens! Historical ace - or a vulture? Now he wonders why I don't speak with him all evening! ... Quote
UK_Widowmaker Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Out for a spin over the English Channel Quote
Olham Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Wow, great nice pic of the Biff, Widowmaker! I guess you could even enjoy finer wires, when you don't use the sim's Anti-Aliasing, but the graphic card's. Anti-Aliasing: 8, and Anisotropic Filtering: 4 should work fine, i guess. Not the graphics are so demanding in WOFF, but all the CPU must do (with a single core). 1 Quote
