Hey all.  Any chance of an IDF skin for the AH-1F?  That would be so cool...

Create a copy of the M65 TOW Rack folder but don't include the LOD file. The ini will tell the missiles where to fit but the rack itself will be invisible due to the LOD being missing. Then its just adjusting the 4 missile positions so that they fit the Visable A/C Rack.

 

I've given it a quick test an that works for me (on an AH-64 test-bed).

Where can I find this TOW rack please?

Where do I find that information in the DATA file?

in the engine section, look for something like "rotor diameter" or prop diameter.

 

this fix goes back to the 08 1stGen patch, that messed up helos

Sorry to reopen this old post, but I am thinking on purchasing YAP AH-1F Helicpack. Before it I would like to know if it has an own cockpit or the same cockpit from the other Cobras.

 

Anybody can tell me or show me a screenshot, please?  Thanks in advance!

might want to wait. yakarov79 is the current freeware Cobra guru and has an F in the works.  He has a G, Q and J model already in the d/l section while you wait.....

Thanks for the answer daddyairplanes. I already downloaded the Cobras of yakarov, they are great.

I asked for the F version because it has a different cockpit from the rest and it is rare to find it in any sim. Last time I saw it was in the old Gunship 2000.

I am looking forward to Yakarov´s work too. I´ve already seen other people offer Cobras, but either they want you to pay too much for them, or they want you to go through silly loops.
