UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) I made a note of my altitude when I took this shot...see if you can guess at what height I'm flying :) Edited February 12, 2014 by UK_Widowmaker
Olham 164 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Hmmmm... I'm rather bad at guessing distances, but I say: 5000 feet? Good idea, Widow - maybe there are several ways to quiz with screenshots? Edited February 12, 2014 by Olham
UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted February 12, 2014 Would be good to do that Olham.. no..higher than 5,000 :)

Snailman 517 Posted February 12, 2014 Sorry to break into the conversation, Im just curious. since I was a paratrooper, I give it a try. Thats at least 3000meters, more likely 3500. in feet thats 3 times more, so about 10000. Have a nice flight)
rjw 48 Posted February 12, 2014 Wodow; I'll take 8000 ft and if I win you buy the virtual round
UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted February 12, 2014 Snailman was 'almost' bang on... 9,800 ft!...well done!
Snailman 517 Posted February 12, 2014 Wow))) actually its not my merit )) The game represents the terrain very realistically, it seems. The fields, roads, settlements look like this from above. About 3000m prop engines start to have problems with air (like our An-2) sport skydivers go higher by turboprop (or small jet) planes. Your pilot must have had good alpine lungs ))))
Olham 164 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Widow, perhaps you should re-name this thread (if you can) "The WOFF Quiz" or something like that? Here is one from me. How many of my Jasta 5 companions are circling over Epinoy airfield here with me (my Alb not incl.) ? Edited February 12, 2014 by Olham

Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) 7... let my dragunov forsaken eyes strained.... but if you say one of those pixel planes are not from Jasta 5, I... I kill you Raaahhh!!! A paratrooper with a Dragunov! I only know these guns from the game STALKER (where they were very effective long-range sniper guns). Fortunately I can say: no, there were no other (visible) planes around, and Corsaire, BurningBeard and Snail got it right: 7 Albatros were with me. Adger, I guess, you counted my craft too? Edited February 13, 2014 by Olham
Adger 86 Posted February 13, 2014 Hi Olham no i did,nt count your craft.pal...i had a mark on my monitor... cleaned it and saw 7 ha ha ,Great shot BTW .
Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Well, if it can be cleaned, that's good.I had ordered a new monitor after Xmas and flying the first mission on it, I saw 4 enemy planes approaching - until I realised, there were 4 pixels "broken"; the background LED lighting was too dark. Of course I sent it back. Edited February 13, 2014 by Olham
UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted February 13, 2014 Don't think I can change the title Olham (unless someone knows how?)
Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) No problem - we could start a new "Screenshot Quiz" thread. Or you could try "Edit" and then click "Use full editor" - maybe there it's possible? Edited February 13, 2014 by Olham
Hauksbee 103 Posted February 13, 2014 Damn! The best I did was five.
Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2014 Reminds me of the idea to use a Full-HD TV - did you ever think of doing that? With my Toshiba Regza 37" TV it is marvellous vision - each time I move it over here, I am amazed, how well I regocnise even distant aircraft.
tranquillo 10 Posted February 13, 2014 Damn! The best I did was five. Don't feel so bad. I was the same.
Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2014 Maybe you guys should use BOTH hands for counting? Mmuahahahahaaa!!!
Hauksbee 103 Posted February 13, 2014 If I could see five, the other two were probably closing in on my six.
Snailman 517 Posted February 13, 2014 I was thinking about a projector... a huge TV is too expensive and I never watch tv anyway. Although I'm not sure what resolution of a projector can handle...
Dej 17 Posted February 14, 2014 A 1080p Full HD projector should handle at least 1920 x 1080. At a throw distance of say 4m that will give you a virtual screen size of approx 350cm on the diagonal.
