I think that, after the topic on how legit it is to shoot deliberately at the enemy pilot, in wich everyone pretty much agreed it is, this shows you where that chivalry lies on. I think we can get the whole picture of the issue this way, without either argument negating the other.

Oh, possibly the *first* air-air combat in WW2 was P.11 and Stuka, forgot which one shot down the other, lol P.11 was that old, but both pilots reunited decades later.
