macelena Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 http://mag.newsweek.com/2013/11/08/mortal-enemies-facebook-friends.html I think that, after the topic on how legit it is to shoot deliberately at the enemy pilot, in wich everyone pretty much agreed it is, this shows you where that chivalry lies on. I think we can get the whole picture of the issue this way, without either argument negating the other. 3
ironroad Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Neat! Dan Cherry later became commander of the Thunderbirds in the mid-70s.
Nesher Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 what a story.. nice to see that after all these years there is no grudge or hate!
KJakker Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Here is another article on the same story with additional details. http://www.theunlikelyreunions.com/sample-page/ Edit: Found this as well. http://www.myenemymyfriend.com/ Edited February 18, 2014 by KJakker
Lexx_Luthor Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Love it thanks. Oh, possibly the *first* air-air combat in WW2 was P.11 and Stuka, forgot which one shot down the other, lol P.11 was that old, but both pilots reunited decades later.
+JediMaster Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Because as has been proven time and again over the years, it's the politicians interested in the killing, not the soldiers. 2
