from ground control they say that they were 2 miles away while the other aircraft was crossing the other runway...it seems like pushing safety for speed too far still

That is absurd,no way was the 757?..2 miles...if he was then that runway is fekking long....atc need a severe bollocking or the ground controller of the skyteam a\c do...someone needs a bollocking or more.

Yes, it looks like it was right on top of it, but it is said that it seems so because of the zoom. The aproaching aircraft saw the other one crossing the runway, they would have made it, but there should have been a safety margin and the pilot decided to pull up. Really somebody is or needs to be chewed.
