B-57 A & B Crew and Wing Ondnance malpositioned

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me get the crew back in the Aircraft and the wing ordnance under the wings. My B-57G is fine so I tried duplicating the position data but that did nothing.  The inside crew view is fine although the wing ordnance can be seen to be too far forward.  I can live with it but it bugs me.  I downloaded the aircraft from the site and that is how they show up in SF V2 ans SF2.  Any help will be appreciated.  It must be windy sitting out front liker that.

Thanks

Is it safe to assume that's Ajundair's Canberra, and NOT the stock one??? Or, if a stock 3W version, a mod for 1stGens (SFP1 or Wo*), and NOT for SF2?

more data is required .. like a link to the original download, and so forth.

russouk2004:

The model definitely appears to be a ThirdWire model. Ajundair's Canberra has thinner tires. Plus, Dave's skin pack is designed for the ThirdWire model, not Ajundair's.

My best guess as to the cause of the problems you're seeing is that you're using an outdated DATA.INI for the Canberra. In the Dec2010 patch TK made changes to the B-57 model that shifted the center of the aircraft by several meters. Dave's skins are based on the new model, and the decals in your screenshots appear to be correctly positioned. Thus, it would seem that your install is still using an outdated DATA.INI with the old positions for the pilots and loadouts.

Try unpacking a newer version of the B-57B_DATA.INI from a CAT file and drop that in to your install. I'll bet it fixes the problem.

or just rename the data ini inside the folder, so that it reverts to the one on the cat file, and retest

sunray...latest patch data.ini is what you need, just checked older ones and they are the cause of ur problem.

Sorry but to be a dumbo on this -  but how do I got about getting the ini from the cat file?

mind you, while the instructions are for SF1, and using a different extractor tool, the procedures are the same (more or less)

http://combatace.com/topic/32706-using-skypats-cat-extraction-tool/

You'll need the 3rd Wire extractor, and its available here in the SF2 Utilities section. Also located someplace on the 3rd Wire site too.

Thanks but when I went to C/Program files (x86)/Thirdwire/Strike Fighters 2/Objects - I have no Objectsdata007 or 008. - playing in SF2V so maybe that is the issue?

Can you post a screenshot of your Objects folder file structure. This is what mine looks like.

Will do later though I managed to fix it though through a reinstall of the B-57B from downloads. Would love to do a campaign with these aircraft!
