EA-6B Prowlers return home from final carrier cruise

VAQ-134 'Garudas' four Prowlers returned home to NAS Whidbey Island yesterday. This marks an end to the EA-6B's 46 year long career in the US Navy.

And with that the A-6 has not passed on the annals of history. She was a good bird.

They will keep flying for another ~5 years.  Just not off the carriers.

With the USMC still employ them on carriers or are they going have to do what the Air Force chose to do as far as the EW mission goes?
