I have a small update to this mod, maybe you can integrate it into your mod pack. The Airbrake was not working visualy, so here are the right entries for it.

What I can offer to you is:

1. reversed thrust for the engines

2. working and visual airbrakes

3. new and proper pilot positions

This entry goes into all 4 engines of every plane:

// Crew ---------------------------------------------------------

[Pilot01]

SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT

SeatID=1

ShowPilot=True

PilotModelName=helopilot03

PilotHeadNodeName=head

SetCockpitPosition=TRUE

Position=-0.359,15.714,1.29

MinExtentPosition=-0.587,18.797,0.231

MaxExtentPosition=-0.131,19.456,1.297

CanopyNodeName=

[Pilot02]

SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT

SeatID=2

ShowPilot=True

PilotModelName=helopilot03

PilotHeadNodeName=head

SetCockpitPosition=TRUE

Position= 0.359,15.714,1.29

MinExtentPosition=0.131,18.797,0.231

MaxExtentPosition=0.587,19.456,1.297

I made a misstake to the vectorthrust .. pls change the number from 0.05 to 2.0 sorry guys .. its now corrected in my post

So it`s fast enough to switch the vector while you can apply full power to the engines!!!

also  use for KC-135E not A.  E model went to ANG and Reserve units given that many of those pilots flew commercial on the side and could convert to using thrust reverser faster.

otherwise very awesome. as always thank you sir!

This is great. Many thanks.

p.s.

Early models  with P&W J57 shouldn't have this engine mod entry right ? Like RC-135D and 135S Rivet Ball.

Ok so the KC-135A had no thrust reverse? I have no list with planes that had or had no TR.

My list:

B707-300

C-135A/B/C

CT-49

E-3A

EC-135K

KC-135A/E/R

The whole RC-135 Pack

I can later upload the data.ini`s if needed

RC-135D Rivet Brass and RC-135S Rivet Ball share same engines as KC-135A. P&W J57. Just checked.

RC-135S-RB

RC-135D

Plus that RCs with upgraded turbofan engines CFM International F-108-CF-201. (Model names as in recce 135  pack)

- RC-135S-CB_95

- RC-135W-late

as i have read on it the TF33 / JT3D engines had thrust reverse capability while J57 did not.  the KC-135E came about from putting better components from retiring 707s (like JT3Ds) onto the KC-135A fleet but mainly the ANG AFRES fleets as they operated from shorter civilian fields and had alot of noise complaints generated compared to mil fields.

Ok I have looked through the models, so far I have identified planes with J57 are

C-135A

RC-135C

RC-135D

KC-135A

I have even checked the E-3 we have, but it used JT3D engines. Would be nice to have newer E-3 versions. Tell me if im missing a version there that had the J57 engines

Veltro released a CFM powered Sentry last year.  started working on it and it back burnered. original model has all RAF appendages but it was easy to remove the wingtips to make a E-3F and the refuel probe to make a Saudi E-3.  is that what you are talking about for newer versions?  also have a pod (via fakepilot) for the newer radar on the TF33 powered Sentries but it doesnt fit Veltros model.

lookin to redo the Sentry skins and finish Veltros bird anyhow.  i have training for two weeks starting next week so out of the loop but evening very free for modding and as said want to complete the skins.  want me to shoot you the work i did so far for ini and possible chin fairings work?

Since there is work being done to the actual model, my question is, is the length correct? It looks stubby compared to the actual pics.

Length: 136' (42 m)

are you talking TMF or Veltro's? as far as i understood all work on TMFs was fakepilot addons

Edit: on the above i was talking the Sentry. Dont recall if the KC-135 R is a different complete model or TMF with diff engines
