Roll angle values on the BRU-61 stations could be the culprit.

Yep, that fixed it thanks!

a) If you stick to the racks as per the above picture and can prune the stray SDBs above them, that'll be as close to 100% real world accurate as we can get.   I really hope we can keep this Strike Eagle as real world & relevant as possible!

b) Sorry for late response, had shoulder surgery done last Tuesday so going to be a week to two at least before I fly SF2 again.  But please pass your code in this thread.  Maybe I can put something together as a friendly advisory patch this fall... ;-).

I hope your surgery went well mate.

Sorry for the delay, I realised that I was working with the "old" F-15SE of out the Superpack that that Fast Cargo created. But I've now tinkered with the Data INI and Loadout INI of the SE is included in the Viper new pack.

I should be able to upload those INI files that allow SDB rack carriage into this thread in the later on today/tomorrow. If not then I'll copy/paste my Data and Loadout details in here.

The bottom line is that I've changed the weapon stations around a fair bit; for example, there shouldn't be any carrying of 6 2000lb JDAMs on CFTs that you mentioned earlier in the thread and now the BRU-61 SDB Racks can be attached on the aforementioned CFTs. I also had to change the Sniper Pod Station so that it now must be loaded from the Loadout INI as SF2 can only show 6 Loadout Station groups on the screen in-game. I personally believe the sacrifice is well worth it though.

The SDBs that I've been working with on the F-15SE are the GBU-40 version. They're EOGRs which means they work with the BRU-61 racks (which are TLRs) with no issues. I also find that AI can use EOGRs more reliably that EOGBs, although still not as well as I'd like.

At the end of the day, I wouldn't class myself as I modder but I've been playing SF2 long enough to get know what I can tinker with. I have huge respect for the modders, skinners etc on this site. I've found out the hard way that even trying to just make INI changes usually ends up like real life military procurement processes!

@TempestII Sorry to bother you, I am a bit confused; it appears you quoted twice me in your latest post, but I didn't say anything, especially on the specified dates. I'm just puzzled a bit. I hope somebody did not hack into my account and write things on my behalf.

I'll be totally honest, I'm confused myself lol. I know that my tablet screen had issues but I have no idea how it quoted what you posted from another thread (it was that one where we discussed how AI flights were continuing past their targets to the edge of the map). I deleted all the text out but I couldn't get rid of the quote boxes completely, at least not from my tablet. Sorry to confuse you!

Ah, not to worry, thanks for clearing this up, mate! BTW, to remove those boxes just click on them, you should see four arrows at the top left side of it, and that means the box can be moved. Just press CANC on your keyboard and they should be gone.

So, this is my attempt to make the loadout of the F-15 Silent Eagle a bit more streamlined. It was my aim to allow the aircraft to carry more weapons in some ways but reducing it in others where there was clipping. I've taken inspiration from some of the other Eagle variants, such as the F-15SA in terms of the weaponry. I'm confident that most of the weapons I've used are available in the Weapon Packs on Combat Ace, if they're not already included the F-15 Superpack  Viper created.

Installation:

1) If not already done, download Viper's F-15 Strike Eagle Superpack, linked from the first post in this thread and install per ReadMe included in that pack.

2) I highly recommend that you then backup your "old" F-15SE Date INI and Loadout INI, should you not like my changes. I personally find it easier to rename them to "Old Data" or "Old Loadout" but the choice is your's.

3) Download the two INI files into your Mod folder area; Strike Fighters > Objects > Aircraft > F-15SE. If you renamed the aforementioned old files then there should be no overwrite needed.

4) That should be it! Go test out. If you do decided to switch back to the "old" INIs, delete my to INI files and use you back-ups. I promise I won't be offended. ;-)

Note: A big thanks to everyone who has worked on the F-15 Superpacks and I hope that my attempt to tinker with these two files isn't seen as disrespectful to your/their sterling work.

F-15SE Data INI; I've put in bold everything that I remember altering:

I changed pretty much everything in here so no bold text.

Thanks for doing this, I have a few days of test flying ahead.  Will share pictures...

Also hopefully now I have some how-tos to work on the F-15E and... the JAS-39 ;-).

Did some initial flight tests and can't see where the AIM-9s were hung on the external model when programmed into the sim...

Otherwise, this looks like a leap ahead.

Those AIM-9s are Internal in the CFT Bay. The bays don't open for long when you fire a weapon out of them so they're easy to miss.

For the record, this is what the Silent Eagle can carry internally:

Wrench is right...this is a communal effort, built on founders and creators who came before us. We add, tweak and try to make them better and keep them alive - as you are doing right now. This is how this works...Sorry, I didn't back to you sooner.

If you send me all the changes, I can add them to the pack...let me know...

=V=

PS! Holy Crap...there have been some really good post!!! Thanks

Well I will do my best by Friday to check the loadouts on the E, I & K as well.  Long term I want to do a 123rd FS repaint for the C model.

Problem is, I have TWO Environmental Impact Statements to read & comment on this week... and the first one is a thick four volume baby on the EA-18Gs I want to see fly at OLF Coupeville a lot more.  Problem is, I need to get a letter of support to the Secretary of the Navy - the real-life opposition is flooding the guy's inbox.

But THANK YOU very much for your work moving this product forward.  No seriously, thank you.

I've been working on v1.2 - just deleting many duplicate files trying to reduce the footprint of the package...so I can add any changes to the next release.

I downloaded and added the F-15SE Data and Loadout changes. Tested it and it looks good! This is a big package, we did our best, but we're pretty sure we're not perfect...LOL.

This is for anyone making changes - especially accuracy changes - I welcome all tweaks and edit that improves the package. This package belongs to all of us.

I will credit your submission in the change log!

Thanks!

I'm just glad to be of help! Thanks for the credit and for your sterling work.

I've also been tinkering with the F-15E and F-15E (00) weapon stations and loadouts so once I'm content with those I'll put them on here again if you wish?

This mod is incredible! Now I can literally fly true Strike Fighters! Thank you so much!

By the way, there is a minor Skin bug on a South Korean version of F-15SE (RoKAF 11th FW, 122nd FS "Jaguars" Skin)

Any ways, nice mod!
