MigBuster Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) Prince dies at 57 The hugely popular, acclaimed and influential musician Prince has died at his home in Minnesota at the age of 57. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news I thought it was April fools again...............considering the string of celebs/legends we have lost this year!!! Bit of a shock when a very famous English comedian Victoria Wood passed a few days back! RIP Edited April 21, 2016 by MigBuster Quote
Boresight Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Sad news. Well-known here in Portugal. Began to listen his music somewhere in the early / mid 90's when I was a teenager... they were magical times alone. His music greatly contributed to it - impossible to not remember old girlfriends when listening to his music. RIP Quote
+Kulbit80 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Shit, what a year... Bowie, Prince ... Very sad to lose intelligent song writers, singers, musicians and composers like them. R.I.P. Quote
Trotski Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 What the hell is going on this year, well loved Celebs dying like flies, its bonkers. Prince was a insanely talented song writer, and musician, not a total fan myself, however I am very aware of the impact he had on the music industry, and his passing is a truly sad and huge loss. Muesli Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 'His Royal Deadness'... Seems he was just human like all of us. Quote
ironroad Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I loved how he stuck it to Warner Brothers. When he couldn't get his contract settled he would just showed up to staff meetings, acted normal, but had the word "slave" written across his face. He got tired of all the record BS, so he started his own label, recorded/produced his tracks, and sold his music on ther internet (being one of the first major artist to embrace the internet). All these great musicians and artists are dying, acts like Mikey Cyrus are still making records...smh Quote
