Is that part of the damage model showing through? If so it's that that's causing the flickering issue.....try commenting it out in the data INI.

Just a thought.

Thats what I was going to say...you may need apply the dec to the Dam mesh too.

I followed Russos advice and placed the decal on the damage model of the right wing to. And the result looks so:

The flickering is still there, but now, the lighter skin of the original skin does not look through anymore. It is not perfect.

Not sure if you use stock or modified _data.ini, maybe worth to check the damage node name call outs as the game should hide it itself always without ever showing through.

Bis/MF (actually it is the same on most variant)

Leftouterwing

DestroyedNodeName=LeftOuterWing_Damaged

Rightouterwing

DestroyedNodeName=RightOuterWing_Damaged

Hard job but with very pleasant result!!!! Use this parameters inside skin texture INI:

Specular=0.4
Glossiness=0.4
Reflection=0.0

Your skins looks too much dull as the Reflection is too high. Try and post some shots to compare. :biggrin:

I have uploaded a first set of 40 camo decals for the MiG-21F-13. It is not yet really finished, so that you may see it as a preview.

I used only on skin for the entire plane, which is set at different places to achieve the wished result.

It is not perfect.

In a second step i want to make the camos by using different camo decals for wings, tail, nose and fuselage.

But this will need some more time.

At the moment my very old computer makes a lot of trouble. It could be, that it breaks in near future. Thatswhy i have uploaded the not yet finished camo decals set.

100 skins are made now. Two different ways of decalplacement are tested.

I hope that i can release the random skins for the MiG-21F, PF, PFM and MF this weekend.

Further i tested wheter the skinset would fit on other planes, just for fun. I found some anomalies. Unfortunatly.

After releasing the 100 camos for east german MiG-21's i want to do 100 camo skins for north vietnamese MiG-17F.

A first test showed following result:

As you see the outer wings are lighter than the rest of the plane.

I found out, that it has something to do with the decals. But i dont know, how to handle it.

Has someone of you an idea to solve this problem?
