RAF Christchurch with de Havilland Airspeed Factory.

The germans, depending upon the airfield, used to hide the planes under trees. Some base were took from France and were complete with hangars and so.

Good argument. Thatswhy i have exerimented with planting some trees.

tree-wise, I think the best way around that would be a terrain object LOD, something like how TK does it on the IcelandNA map. You could make "clumps" or groves, or even a row of them.  Be a bit easier to place then trying to do it via TODs in the Terrain Editor.

Because the new made small rivers looked to naked without trees i started to plant some trees on the small river tiles.

He-100D over the Somme river northwest of Amiens.

BTW, i always thought that the famous Somme river would be a big river. But in reality it is a better creek. You can easily throw a stone over this tiny water.
