Help Needed: Please....
GhostDog replied to Nick Tselepides's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I'm glad you got it working. Your new problem might be due the fact that the original installation by mistake makes a lot of the files in the Lomac directory "read-only". ****** Try right-clicking on the directory you installed lock-on in and select "properties". Then untick the mark (if there is one) in the "read-only" box click "ok" then make sure that the "apply to this folder, subfolder and files" is ticked and click "ok" ****** The "read-only" issue should be solved in the upcomming patch -
Help Needed: Please....
GhostDog replied to Nick Tselepides's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Hey Nick 1: somewhat. Some (like me) could play with almost no issues - others had all kinds of problems 2: There is a patch ver 1.01 out that fixes many problems but unfortunatly the training missions don't work with the patch 3: nope - sorry *** If you try to patch the game then make sure you install the right one or your game wont work: The next patch (1.02) should be just around the corner. We should get an update on the progress from Matt later today on the UBI board. GhostDOg -
i'm so out my depth here... sorry. I really don't have the faintest idea. I can only suggest you ask on the Lock On: Community Help page or trawl through it for ppl with similar problems and system configs as you, to see if you are in luck

HI and welcome to Biohaz Try remapping the the trigger in options. It might do the trick. And as soon as you hit the debriefing screen click "save" - that way you shouldnt have to start alll over even if you game crashes If it ran better before you patched to 1.1. you could uninstall and run it w/o the patch and just pray for a quick release of patch 1.2

Kato_169th has made a mod for Lomac which replaces the F-15 with the famous "Blue Angel" skin. It retains the flightmodel and interior cockpit of the F-15. It is like the other mods in of this kind not an F-18 in any real sense but should be good for some really cool screenshots and movies: Its a very nice looking skin! Get it here - 2.56 Mb Enjoy, GhostDog

Patch V1.02 Has Gone Beta
GhostDog replied to GhostDog's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Carl just posted a little up mini-report on the UBI boards of what he has seen do far with the new build: -
I just thought i would share. A friend of mine works with photography and 3D animation. He was hired to an animation of a MIG-21 for a recruitment video for the Royal Danish Airforce. If you want to check his animation go to his webiste - click the moving logo - select films and then airforce. Unfortunately its only available in QiuckTime... Most of the film is real footage but the MIG is purely animation. Looks good to me. Especially the deformation when it passes the edge of the F16's canopy some of the other stuff there is quite cool as well IMHO This is a still of the MIG:

Just a slight BUMP There must be others who are curious about this ambitious looking title. Ie. how "simmy" will it be... You would think that a battleship a sub and an airplane would be miles apart in how difficult they would be to model in that respect. My experience tells me that when playing the "role" of a ship or sub, you tend to play it rather strategically or tactically and don't demand the rather more hardcaore simulatiuon feel that you expect of an airplane. The roll angle af a turning submarine tends not to be considered so important as long as the sonar characteristics etc seems to be true to life. Will this game cater for all? -
Desert Mod Beta
GhostDog replied to sambo's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Thanks for the tip Sambo Looks good. I hope that we will find a solution to hosting files of this size here at Biohaz. For the time being we unforunately cannot offer to host these types of files as they would eat up our bandwith in no time Cheers, GhopstDog -

A10 Campaign Mission 1
GhostDog replied to CaptCanada's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Welcome to Biohaz Capt Canada Practice makes perfect. If you find it too hard to begin with then start by giving yourself a better loadout. Stock up with Ir guided mavericks - they have longer range and makes it easier to spot targets. Try to identify the biggest threats and engage them first. When egressing turn towards your homebase and watch that you don't overfly the two enemy airfields. Be patient. Take it one target at a time. When you hear a launch warning, take evasive action and pop flares. Learn from your mistakes and try again. Eventually you will be able to kill all targets with nothing but you gun -
