I think we figured it out. WE didn't notice that the ventrilo server hasn't got a GUI

I'm a lucky bastard with a tracIr2 but i have noticed that the program "Freelook" is getting some good feedback from users. They also seems to be on the ball as far as updates go. Here is a small cut'n-paste from their website: Their last update is from January 11th and has features which are specificaly for Lomac. If you have tried it let us know if its any good. It might help some others here. If you havent tried it but want to give it a go then go to Freelook.org

I just tried to get ventrillo working with a squadmate of mine. He tried to install the server version since i hate hosting things like that - opening ports and all - but he couldn't install it. It kept asking for a path or something.. we will give another try another day

we are also working on a solution to hosting big files here. I hope we will have an answer on that one tonight

I have heard those rumors as well JayJay but i think they are still only rumors. I haven't been chekking the saitek boards in a long time but last i heard the best i could get was some semi-nonconfirmation that they "would maybe look into ..." etc.. I wouldn't wait if i wanted rudders now

I just moved your thread to the proper forum ;) btw i have been looking at those CH pedals myself and i think they are a good buy for the money. So far i'm sticking with the rudder thingys on my x36 as they work just fine for me.

Just a little public service announcement on what i'm up to: There is a lot i would like to do here and unforunately i cant do it all at once. Right now my main priority is to get our download section for Lomac updated so we at least have the most important stuff. I keep adding stuff each day but it will probably take at least a week before i'm reasonably certain that we have what i would consider the "basics". From there on it should be relatively easy to keep it upto date. If any of you guys know of something that you think should be added to the DL section or if you know of a more recent version of a DL we allready have i would be much obliged if you could drop me a line here: ghostdog@biohazcentral.com I am not sure sure we will be able to host everything but i think we must have the "must haves" ;) When i am satisfied that we have the basics in the DL section i would very much like to update the links to virtual squadrons and other Lomac related sites. New ones are cropping up every day so that will probably allso take some days to complete. Dont post to me on this just yet as i, as i have said, will concentrate my efforts on the DL's the next week or so. If your Lomac site or squad isn't listed and you think it should be, you are of course wellcome to add it here Cheers, GhostDog

Thanks GI ... I think i'll wait then. I looked at the official forum and it seems you are right that the voiceovers wont play if you hae patched the game. Its really not worth spending our bandwith on if it doesn't work as intended anyway. When there is a fix i'll get them up in no time

There is supposed to some nice ones home-made ones floating around - even some with voiceovers. If some of you could point me in the right direction i would gladly put them up in the DL section

I agree with Snapple that it is a political thread. But i think its interesting to know what thoughts people have on this subject as long as it is kept in a cvil tone. But i also disagree with you Snapple: I think you do have the right to complain if you see something you disagree with. Even if it comes from someone who you yourself voted for in the first place. You don't sanction all future acts from a person with one vote. Complaining as you call it creates debate. This is one of the fundamental elements of a democracy and with a bit of luck it can be both constructive and informing. I hope that this is what we will see here

i tried to play the demo and i must say i wasn't impressed - by anything! I hope it will surprise me though. It has been a long time since the last good helo-sim.
