Autodesk is very protective about their programs. I tried to see if I could purchase a used program...nearly imposible..And don’t expect any help from Autodesk. I use a student version...as far as I can tell, it seems to have all the bells and whistles...but of course I am still a limited new user. Also, if anyone need help converting all they have to do is IM me.

dont have a clue...Was cutting out the portholes and when I tried to smooth the meshed collapsed. When i went to view the wire...half the damn plane was missing as you can see from the pic

What would cause the edges and vertices to disappear like that? I am trying to retrace my steps..Luckily I do have a back up

Thanx this is the method I use, but it doesnt show how to round wing tips and why the rest of the mesh warps sometimes when you cut to import...depends what you are using to model. if max, there is a thirdwire plugin for each version

I am using Max 9..been running into a few probs that i need to figure out how to fix. (1) when i create wings ,vtail ect.. the tip is square, if I use a smooth it warps..whats the best way to round out the tips ? (2) Cutting: i use the boolian pick operand B...sometimes when i cut , the mesh becomes distorted . Why ??? and is there a better way to cut out parts ???? thanx in advance
