    Buone feste

  3. Sea Harrier was available on Avsim, IIRC. Some time ago i did a 801 sq. Falklands skin, but I didn't really finished it, so I didn't upload it here. If you're interested send me a PM and I will send you the files.

    Benvenuti

  5. View File F-104G Photoshop Template This is the Photoshop template I used to create my F-104G skins. I left untouched most of the layers so you will be able to adjust the weathering to your taste quickly. Included in the files are the base layers for both standard NATO camouflage and natural metal finish. I've spent several hours creating these files so, if you're going to use them in a public release, just give me some credit for them These files are for the stock ThirdWire F-104G only. 9. Yes, I'd get the SHar too, much easier to park and you don't need a radar operator. But with the Tonka you can get in the car pooling lane
  11. Well, it looks like some head has fallen "The widespread disregard for nuclear weapons safety standards by airmen at Minot and Barksdale Air Force bases led to the unprecedented “Bent Spear” incident in which six nuclear warheads were mistakenly loaded onto a B-52 and flown from North Dakota to Louisiana on Aug. 29-30, Air Force officials said Friday after an intensive six-week investigation. The Air Force relieved the 5th Munitions Squadron commander at Minot immediately after the incident. On Friday, it announced that three more commanders have been sacked. They are: ** Col. Bruce Emig, wing commander, 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base; ** Col. Cynthia M. Lundell, commander, 5th Maintenance Group, Minot Air Force Base; and ** Col. Todd C. Westhauser, commander, 2nd Operations Group, Barksdale Air Force Base." latest on AF Times
  12. I've uploaded the last 104G, 6° Stormo 1970s. It is the last starfighter (at least for now), since I want to start some new project, so that's it. I hope you enjoyed them as I did, doing them; but don't worry, in the next days I will upload my full template. I just have to reduce a bit the size (right now it's over 100MB), so you can continue increase the fleet of 104s
  13. View File F-104G Italian Air Force 6° Stormo 6° Stormo A. Fusco, 154° Gruppo - 1970s This skin depicts the tipical italian starfighter paint scheme used in the 70s, in NATO tactical camouflage with large national markings and big white numbers. The Squadron was disbanded after the armistice in 1943 and reformed in 1952 as a fighter-bombers squadron, the insignia is the famous Red Devil and it's named after Alfredo Fusco, ace and Medaglia d'Oro al Valore recipient, shot down during WWII over Albania. In 1965 154° Gruppo was awarded the "NATO flying safety" award, totaling 5000 hrs without any accident. Quite remarkable, since they were flying the dreaded Zipper! This skin is for the original Third Wire F-104G model only. Installation instruction in the readme.txt included. 15. A little update on the work so far. I have fixed a few things I wasn't satisfied with and I can say it's almost done. Just a few more days you'll be ready to splash some Zero with this cat
  16. View File F-104S ASA M Italian Air Force 37° Stormo F-104S ASA M 37° Stormo, 18° Gruppo In mid '90s Italian Air force abandoned the traditional NATO tactical camouflage for the air superiority gray, now in use as a standard paint scheme. ASA M planes were intended to be pure interceptors and air defence fighters. The squadron insignia is a stork delivering its "load" and it's named after Cesare Toschi, Medaglia d'Oro al Valor Militare recipient, for his actions over Malta during WWII. The Gruppo motto is "Ocio che te copo" (watch it or I kill you). In '99 it operated CAP mission over the Balcans during Operation Allied Force. This skin is for the F-104S-ASA M mod available on Combat Ace and you'll need both JET-Z S/ASA mod available on his site (http://www.12packproductions.com/JetZ/index.html) and the original F-104G by ThirdWire. 17. Well after all the 104s I thought I could try my hand on something different. So here's my attempt to skin the Tomcat, it is supposed to be squadron's first cruise in the late 70s, or, if you prefer, this could be "The final countdown" skin It's still in progress, I have to fix decals, adjust weathering and all, but I'm starting to be satisfied with the result so far. I don't know that much about US NAVY and this is probably paul.nortness backyard, so any comment and suggestion is appreciated.
  18. Just uploaded 37 Stormo ASA M. Next is going to be this one: F-104G 6° Stormo 154 Gruppo, 1970s Thanks all for your comments

  21. Sarà che il Phantom è bellissimo di suo, ma ci stanno benissimo Usa le coccarde piccole a bassa visibilità, aggiungi i numeri ed è perfetto

Buscaglia, 28° Gruppo Operation Ace Guard 1991 On 21 December 1990 3° Stormo received the order to deploy six planes, in recce configuration, to the forward turkish base of Erhac as part of the NATO coalition, during the 1st Gulf War. Between 6 January and march 1991, in rigid weather (up to 25°C below zero) and uncomfortable conditions, the RF-104Gs flew over 300 sorties patrolling the turkish southern border. The planes were painted in the standard NATO tactical scheme with low visibility markings. The squadron insignia are four cats (of the former 278° Torpedo Bomber Squadron) and it's named after Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia, commander of a torpedo squadron during WWII.
