Happens to me too at times and I finally figured out it's caused by the mission type. Certain planes simply refuse to do missions they're not supposed to do (like an F-14 doing CAS). Try changing the mission and see if it works. I don't know if it's only my installation (I guess it's pretty messed up), hope it helps.

CTRL+ì e CTRL+' sono i comandi da tastiera se non ricordo male, ma ti consiglio di programmare due pulsanti o un rotary sul joystick

Time to update the thread. I finished laying down rivets and panel lines and the skin template is taking shape I also took a final decision on the cockpit, I'm still missing some info but all the main gauges will be in place. I'm slowly learning the complex art of cockpit modelling and this is one of the first in game shots of the wip.
