Funny thing is, I heard this same story but the BIQ (B!tch in question) was a marine LTC not Army, abut a month and a half ago. And honestly I don't think that a respectable officer would tell off a foreign officer and blatantly write about it and still have a career. Multi-nationalisim is a big deal to the pussy footers who run this country. In todays day and age, stuff like that don't really happen anymore. We are required to have some kind of Coalition, we can never act on our own anymore. And on another note, I wonder if she knew that if it were not for the French we might very well have lost the Revoloution against Brittian, as they had our coast surrounded and if it weren't for their (French) navy the Brits would have landed mass troops and held our ports at bay for as long as they could. Surely they teach about this at the military academy or whatever branch of service this stupid woman is claimed to be attached to. Although I do see the humor put forth, in reality this is nothing but racisim. If we were to think of everyone we have aided throughout our history as incompetent cowards, we would have no allies. Just because some nation is very pompus and self rightous, and lets not forget RUN BY HUMANS, doesn't mean that they are the cowards or the enemy. I have served in the company of the French while in the Navy. Arrogant they were, cowards they were not. I watched 15 out of 17 stick out BUD/s (SEAL training) while 2/3rds of the americans couldn't take it. 15 men took the worst (hardest) training course in the world and made it. Out of the 142 men that started that course 17 were french, 67 graduated, 15 were french. This tells me that the French had more heart and balls than we did that training cycle. So please don't judge a nation on the heels of a leader they had some 50 years ago

Used photoshop and used the text tool to type my name right on the canopy rail (or as close to even as I could get) then saved the .bmp and tried to play and the nose was black and the wheel showed through. I did NOT mess with the decals

The only game that I play that uses open Gl is SoF2 I don't know about IL-2 because I wont buy another lame WWII sim, as for the resource issue, you may be correct, but where you gain resources you gotta pay the hefty price for top of the line video card, so a trade off is mostly acceptable to me. Oh and the resources taken up by sof2 are way more than that of this game or DI's F/A-18E Super Hornet, And DI's game has way more detail than any Quake engine based lame...I mean game, and this sim put together

Everytime I try to use photoshop pro my plane comes out all f***ED up... i.e. When I tried to put name on my canopy the nose turned black, the nose gear was showing through the nose and I got a lot of red lines everywhere. Anyone can point me in the right direction?? PLEASE

I try to d/l the Blue Angel skin but when I open winzip tells me its an invalid or corrupt zip file. HELP noone else has this skin to d/l anywhere

before I got the game voice I remapped all the keys and that seemed to work fine, I just was always forgeting where the hell I put them

The navy's are somewhat unique, but they too start to repeat themselves after awhile

I couldn't wait to get this sim, all the hype, all the anticipation. I finally got it, ripped the package to shreds to play Just to find that the GI Joe cartoons I watched as a kid were better. The graphics look like 3rd grade cartoons, the playability sucks, the planes are nothing you cant get in any other of the million WWII flight sims,and the campaigns are lame as hell, and for just another WWII sim, that don't cut the mustard for me. So to say the least IT F@#$IN SUCKS As a matter of fact I feel the same way about IL-2 POS WAIST OF MONEY EDIT Still the wrong era for me but I can't compare this with MS CFS3. It is a good game for those into WWII fighter sims. And it was worth the money, even though I should have waited for the Feb release

I read about a lot of bugs and glitches in this game. Aside from the AAA/SAM issue the only problem I have is an occasional CTD during multiplayer games. Is this lucky for me or am I just missing something I have Gold Version, use all normal/hard settings and have lots of skins
