Let's start the weekend off with a bang! We have the first in a series of exclusive Dangerous Waters screenshots to get you ready for our upcoming Dangerous Waters preview. Future ones will probably have a 10-post entry, but I just wanted to do one of these to try it out and see how it went, as well as hopefully attract some new users, as things got pretty quiet over the summer. That'll change, we have some great new articles and giveaways in the works right now.

The bad links have been fixed and are now resolving. I have some more work to do but you can now get to them at least.

I'm glad you guys like the upgrade. So, it's probably not a good time to mention that I'm currently considering a switch from InvisionBoard to vBulletin. Things have got pretty bad in the IVB community the past week or two. Previously, IVB has always had an unlimited free trial for their software. Unfortunately, things have suddenly changed, they pulled the 2.0 files, and it is now a pay-only forum. That in and of itself is not bad, but they horrible way they changed things, along with a lot of other political wrangling at the company forums, IVB has managed to piss of pretty much all the modding and skinning community to the point they are all leaving in droves to vBulletin3. Of course, I payed for a year license just before all this happened. I had considered vBulletin before the switch, but at the time felt it wasn't worth switching. But in light of recent events, I'm SERIOUSLY considering the option now. vB has a converter from IVB 2.0 to the latest vBulletin, so we would lose nothing. What we would gain is a very vibrant dev/mod community in vBulletin, as well as a way to integrate the forum to the website (There's a bridge to enable single signon). I'm currently weighing the options and will post as I have more info. Sorry for all the changes guys, but I think you will like what we end up with.

OK, the files have been uploaded and the database converted. I have quite a bit to cleanup, but I think everything is working at the moment. Take it for a test drive while I go watch some Seahawks football!

I have time today and the traffic seems to be light, so I'm currently uploading the scripts and updating the main website. Expect some downtime over the next hour while I get things reconfigured. I'll keep everyone posted as I progress. :moil:

That would be cool. You can grab a graphics GDK for IVB at this URL: www.invisionize.com It's a good start on ideas as well as show you what images/filenames we need. I'll talk with you more this weekend or Monday.

Yeah, Powweb really dropped the ball this past week, but they are usually pretty excellent in their support, so I'll cut them some slack this time. The good news is part of he problem was also caused by the fact that they are getting improved load-balancing in place, so the net result is we should see some more performance increases pretty quick.

I was planning on converting the old color/layout, but these colors are starting to grow on me. I still want to add some orange, but what do you guys think?

I finally got some feedback on the absolutely lame uptime we've had the past week on the site. Seems there is a Denial of Sevice attack happening on the server we are hosted on, so that's why we are up and down so much the past week. PowWeb is currently working the issue and hope to have it resolved soon. I'll keep everyone posted as things develop.
