    This is my wingman. His job is to cover my butt from any threats, air & ground........... Using the terrain as cover on the target run in. On exiting this valley, an SA-9 was identified for him to kill as it was the deadliest threat.... The runway died, but so did I. That flaming pile of metal underneath my wingman is what I became after that same SA-9 hit me twice in rapid succession. He missed it..

    I had given some thought to the ranks & titles used by the Roman Legions, but looking deeper, the structure of it (while extremely logical) seems much too cumbersome for what you're looking for.     Went for a Recon flight in the TAV-8. Since I had the pylons to use, I brought 1 Maverick, 1 Sidewinder, & 1 Snakeye, for use on Targets of Opportunity. This lone Flanker shows up, overshoots, and I'm dead astern with an AIM-9. Hell, Stevie Wonder could shoot him at this point. Back to what I was doing...... Recon done, head for home...
