Hello. Here's another skin for Saguanay's sweet CF188. This is the modern skin for the 409 TFS based at 4 wing Cold Lake. To get the ID light to work add this to the end of the FA-18A_DATA file: [identificationlight] SystemType=LIGHT Position=-0.497,4.975,-0.110 LightSrcOffset=-0.070,0.00,0.00 Color=0.66,0.66,0.6 Brightness=0.15 LightSrcRange=150 LightRange=45.0 CanFlash=FALSE IsLandingLight=FALSE //or TRUE if u prefer Ideally it would be nice to link this light with a key or animation if it's possible. It's not perfect, but still fun, though. Thanks to Saganuay for his wicked-awesome CF188. How many hours have I spent in that thing! Thanks to Jarink for his permission to use his great template. Thanks to all those involved in the whole F-18 package. littlesmoke -

3dsmax TW plugin
littlesmoke replied to littlesmoke's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
great, thanks. I'll try it tonight. -
hello, sorry to bother you guys again. I'm having a problem exporting a 3DSMax model. I've installed the plugin (for version 8), but can't find how you export. Dave's tutorials have been a great help, however the tutorial video #11 "installing the plugins" has no video - audio is fine - I can't see what menus he's in - he creates a custom button somehow and drags the file to this icon? wtf. Utilities menu? If anyone can point out the utility menu that's be great. screenie

Hello all. I'm looking for help with keeping the target painted throughout the flight of the LGB. I'm using the GBU-24 paveway III, and targeting with the SniperXR. With LGBs that are targeted by other means (ie not on-board the AC) I can release the weapon and then leave for home. But with a targeting pod, you need to keep the target painted, right? I've read tons of info on the LGBs themselves and different delivery techniques, but all seem to be geared toward previously painted targets. What kind of angles does the sniperXR pod see, ie: do I need to keep my nose straight on-target during bomb flight...? What I've been doing is flying in between 8000-10000 feet at fairly high speed - after passing the 45 degree angle, starting to nose down and visually ID the target. when ready for release, i slowly cut thrust and release the bombs. Once they have cleared the AC I cut thrust completely and hit the speed brakes. Sometimes I find myself following the LGBs and end up way too close to the blast. what's the proper delivery technique for this? thanks in advance

View File images for CF-104 two images - a loading screen and a hanger screen. They are meant for widescreen monitors (16:10) so in the folder Objects/Aircraft/F-104g open the ini file: change to this: HangarScreen=CF-104_Hangar.bmp and add this LoadingScreen=CF-104_loading1.bmp Submitter littlesmoke Submitted 02/08/2008 Category SF/WO* Hanger/Menu/Loadout
