Was the inclement weather bug ever fixed with the Exp2 plus patches? I'm no longer running either Expansion packs, so my SF2 is only patched up to June 2010 standard. In the Falklands install, and every other install with Jun 2010, I'm also getting the low ceilings and rain. I've even gone into the *name*.ini and edited the WeatherChance. Nothing works. -S EDITED: Just and read much of the same reports over at the Thirdwire forum. So at least I see it's still not fixed. But TK was dismissing it as simply chance that you got stuck with that weather and not a bug.

I on the other hand, am a canopy popper. I too like the emmersion of landing, taxiing and parking. Just wish the damn drag chutes were working.

Nice link EZ. I've been following the recent flights of their MiG-29UB. Its truly amazing that we've got privately owned, front-line MiGs flying in the US. Who would have thought it back in the 60-70s when the Red Hat squadron was secretly testing them in the Nevada desert. On a side note. I get to see several of ATSI's TA-4Js flying around here. They are contracted with Boeing for KC-767 test/chase duties. I'd love to get out to Virginia to catch some ATAC's Kfirs and Hunters. Heard their Draken hass been down for a while though. -S

I used to keep up with Gene Buckle's F-15 sim pit, but he's not posted any updates in over a year. I wonder if it finally became too costly. Amazing time and work that go into these. The 737 looks awesome. The computing power to keep it that smooth must be crazy. -S

What? Are you 13? Yes, let's build more of an aircraft that has a 45% mission capable rate and after 5 years since reaching IOC, still doesn't have a complete A-to-G capablilty. Orbiting at 60K, chucking AMRAAMs at 3rd Gen targets from BVR is one thing, but it's a much different story when the opponent gets in close and can match or outperform your 5th Gen techno-wonder. Getting off the ground and to the fight is the first priority. The Chinese have taken a very interesting approach to their new jet. As was said it's huge. This leads me to think of it less as a fighter, but more of a long range interceptor, like a MiG-31. The nose is large enough to hold a decent sized phased array radar. Just not sure on how well the Chinese have mastered the ability to build powerful, but compact systems. That could have driven the size also. -S

More like their little heads smacking into the ground. I listened to HLN this morning and the chem trail peeps were all over the net giving their expert opinions. Coincidently, we landed Code-3 for our chem-dispenser on the tanker failing yesterday, so Texas was spared. I'll get them next time though. For sure!

Here are new config ini files for each Aircraft, plus a complete SquadronList.ini I've gone through my books on the Falklands and used them include and make a uniform listing of units from both sides. Since this is a group effort, there were several different listings, or wordings, for the same squadron/unit. An example would have been the 5 Grupo de Caza. It was also listed as 5 Brigade on some skins, etc... Each of the skin Texture.ini will now match each Aircraft config ini and will have a listing in the SquadronList. Just unzip to your main SF2 Falklands Mod folder and allow to overwrite. -Jeff Falklands Units.zip

SF2 w/Jun 2010 patch.

Eric, I wasn't trying to knock your work, so please don't take it as such. I know how difficult it is to convert such a large install. I was just trying to point out some areas, where I thought, might be missing. I could never get the weapons to show up in game. Sidewinders, aux tanks, etc... but no worries.

Backing up what Murphy's has said about the weapons. The weapons are not in SF2 format. They are missing the data.ini file for each, although a SF1 format WeaponsData.ini is given. The SF2 weapons editor doesnt recognize them. Or have you consolidated them into the cat file? Thanks! Storm EDIT: Just checked in game and confirmed once again that the weps do not appear. Looks like the wrong format. Also, there is no SquadronList.ini included in the pack. Without it, many of the units will not show up, which does affect the decals. I'm working on one now. One last thing. Many files are still in ANSI format, not UNICODE. Has this been 100% proven to aid in the game reading files faster?
