  1. that's because they're NOT all player flyable (usable). To make them so, you'll need to do some editing, and add cockpit. There are tutorials in the Knowledge Base on "How To..". I suggest looking them over. OTH, if you're VERY new to game, I'd get used to the game system FIRST before starting any modification program
  2. I know for a fact, some objects simply don't show up. These are usually those called from the /GroundObjects subfolders (example: some trucks never showed when placed via the TAE, but showed in-game). Other times, other objects don't show their textures, bu DO in game. I've (pretty much) never had an issue with "terrain objects" (buildings and such) when said items are resident in the /name-of-terrain's folder. as to renumbering, only by diligent watching, and gazillions of time rechecking the numerical sequence (and yes, even I've made that mistake) as you can see in the screenshot below, there are PLENTY of non-stock items on this airfield

  4. It would be safe to make the assumption (oh! that word!) that the same 999 limit would apply to the _types. Nobody's ever had to go that high, so we don't know.

SF2 WW2 MTO B-25C/D Mitchell Bomber Pak 8/2/2017 -- Something for the WW2 MTO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *Please note, this aircraft was supposed to be released several years ago (in August, 2014!!), and somehow managed to slip out of sight. I hope this corrects that mistake.* **Note: This mod will -NOT- work in 1stGen game installs at any patch level. Also, for those End Users attempting to use this aircraft in an SF2 converted version of the DAT's WoA Pak, be advised of probable conflicts.** This is a "Theatre Specific" release of Veltro2K's =NEW= B-25C/D Mitchell Medium Bomber. This represents the "glass nosed" bomber version as used in the MTO. This is the FULL aircraft, with just about all the necessary parts supplied. There are 4 skin/decals set(s) in the package: "Early" - with star/circle "Late" - star-and-bar, post September, 1943. For the following units: 81st BS, 12th BG 83rd BS, 12th BG This mods uses the Brain32 trick, with the skinmap in the main aircraft folder. The aircraft is finished in Sand (desert pink) over neutral gray. This represents the 12th BG from it's arrival in theatre to late 1943. All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. The aircraft carries the "plain star-in-blue-circle" used until Sept 1943. The SF2 "date switch" will turn on in September, 1943 for the 'star and bar' insignia. Engine sounds, pilot figures, and skin-specific Hangar Screens are included. Weapons, guns, bombs, etc, are NOT; you should have them already. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole months', and ARE relatively correct for ALL in-theatre usage (7/42-12/43 although it is likely several served longer, even when the H & J models reached MTO squadron service). When in game, you'll see B-25C/D Mitchell (v2k) on the Aircraft Selection Drop down menu. This will differentiate it from any other B-25s you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Happy Landings!! Wrench Kevin Stein

  10. old habits from SF1 (name-of-aircraft, name-of-skin, D, all the tgas); makes for a 'cleaner' install. Of course, it don't really matter as long as the pathways are consistent. Sometimes, when I use a pool of generic serial numbers, and/or plane-in-squadron letters, I'll have those in the main name-of-aircraft folder, and specific squadron codes in their name-of-squadron folders. It all depends on one's mood at the time!
  11. easiest ways to avoid the problem are: 1) extract the 400 series modex from the object cat (if available), place them in the /*name-of-skin*/D/ folder adjust pathways to suit, adjust numberlist ini, and "randomization" in the textureset ini 2) make the specific modex number decals yourself, and place them in the /*name-of-skin*/D/ folder adjust pathways to suit, adjust numberlist ini, and "randomization" in the textureset ini over the years, I've found having EVERYTHING you need specific to the aircraft, eliminates confusion and screwups caused by using the "direct call" from the cat files.

  13. File Name: SF2 WW2 MTO Spitfire Mk.5, 352 Sqdn (Yugoslavia) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 28 July 2017 File Category: Spitfire SF2 WW2 MTO Spitfire Mk.V Trop 352 Squadron (Yugoslavia) by Cocas & Co 7/23/2017 -- Something for the Med players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *This mod will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, at any patch level. Don't even bother trying. Note : This mod represents Mk.V Trops used by the Balkans Air Force, specificly RAF No. 352 (Yugoslavia) Squadron. Even though the entire squadron was composed of Yugoslavian nationals, I've left it under the "RAF" nation tag. These do have a specific "time frame" for operation. This is a full, complete aircraft mod for use in the MTO. All necessary items are included. Even though we lack a WW2 Balkans terrains, I thought it would be interesting to have "something a bit different" than all the usual Spitfire users. In breaking with my usual tradition, the wing roundels and fin flash are painted on. All other marking (fuselage insignia, serial numbers, "plane in squadron" letters and nose art are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. Serials/ID letters and nose arts are 100% historiclly correct, and are matched to their proper aircraft. Unfortunately, I could only find information on 10 aircraft, so that is what you're getting. The aircraft is finished in standard Euro camo, not MTO desert (profiles/photos corroborate this). The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. Guns are also grouped, MGs in Group 1, the cannon in Group 2. Many other changes, mostly to minor adjustments have been performed. See "Notes" section for change list. When in game, you'll see: Spitfire Mk.Vb Trop Y (CAF) on the aircraft selection dropdown menu. This will diferentiate =THIS= Spitfire from any other RAF Mk.Vs you may (or may not) have. The "Y" designates it for "Partisan Air Force". As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Good Hunting! 15. Didn't somebody already to these. I'm not talking about Nigel's, that used the TW Spit 9, but one use the Seafire Mk.III that cocas and I did. I'd swear!! Paulo's don this.. but in any case, here's a WIP screen shot. 1Flotille, 1948 PA Aeromanches, what little I've been able to find, says they were still finished in the RN FAA schemes, with the RN serials still showing any more information, that you all might have would be greatly appriciated!!
  16. now, THAT'S one of the best compliments I've seen in a very long time...
  17. or go page by page on Joe Baugher's site?? That is time consuming as ALL hell (and I've done it plenty of times!)

???? maybe you should try posting this, and the Khe Sanh question in the proper forums, for whichever game you're asking about? Because, right now, neither of your 2 posts make any sense

  21. Been forgetting to post these for quite some time! Like, since early April!! Not far from my mother-in-laws house is the aforenamed park. I thought is was a great thing, as one dosen't see an F3D Skyknight all that often. The memorial is set up like a carrier deck, with as you can see, the island, and representative "ocean" bow wake. The plane, on it's pylon, looks like it's overflying the ship. In some of the pictures you can see these rectangular shapes around the "deck edge galleries". These are bronze plaques listing the names of service men and women who've died in the line of duty. Here's a link for more on the park itself: http://www.lakewoodcity.org/about/mapsinfo/profiles/delvalle.asp Enjoy the images!
