Hawker SeaFury F.10
By Wrench in Allied Fighters
Hawker Sea Fury F.10 mod for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE - WW2/Post War Installs
06 Patch Levels =ONLY=!!!
This is another of those mods that have been languishing on my hard drive for a loooooong time. I just figured, now's the time to finish it off, and release it.
This is a mod of the existing Sea Fury FB.11 into the earlier F.10 version, that almost saw action in WW2.
This is to be considereded as a "Beta ++" version, as there are most likely issues still remaining to be resolved (what they actually are, I don't even know!)
The reasoning behind the labeling as a "plus-plus", as there is a certain 'incompletness' about the aircraft. It's just that it was never actually finished when originally released, and therefore probably has some flaws. Meaning: the aircraft WAS originally released as a Beta, this mod moves it "up" one notch, to plus-plus. Confused yet? Good! Me too!
This mod creates a whole new aircraft, seperate from the normal Sea Fury FB 11.
This is a complete aircraft, with all items needed to pretty much unzip, install, and fly away. 3 Hangar Screens are included, one my Original Old Style artwork one, and a new WoE-style Carrier Deck with the historicl skin, and the What If BPF skin. All are usable in any verions of the sim. You can choose whichever you like the best. Although, right now it's set up for the Carrier Deck version, with the BPF 801 skined aircraft, as this is designed for a PTO WW2: 46 kinda thing.
The aircraft is fully carrier capable, making it usable in Campaigns or user-built Single Missions
The skin/decal set represents 802 Squadron, FAA, Royal Navy in late 1947/early 1948. This skin reflects markings of the immeadate Post-War time frame, with semi-historical serial numbers. I say semi-historical, as my data only gave me a few pictures to base off of, and from the actual production run of the F.10. These would be a good addition for a "Cold War Gone Hot: 1947" type of scenario.
And......
For you "What If..." players for WW2: 46 Pacific, a special skin for 801 Squadron, as would have been used by the British Pacific Fleet for the Reduction and Invasion of Japan. Assuming a hurried introduction, this adds another aircraft for the Fleet Air Arm to use. 1947 is given start year, in keeping with historical fact. Those wishing to create the 'rushed into production' feeling, may change the StartYear= to 1946. This may give you the opportunity to engage with the best the IJAAF/IJNAF had to offer, in the fictional world of WW2: 46.
-= NOTE: You MUST have the WW2 Weapons Pak to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
-== This aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE Patched to 06 Levels, as well as post 9/08 & 10/08 SF/WoV/WoE/WoI. It has not, however been tested in the SF2 series. There still are some serious 'issues' with this aircraft's flight model. You use it in these Post Patch Environments and SF2 NextGens at YOUR own risk. It's reccomended usage is for versions of the game at the 2006 level ONLY. ==-
Simon's original readme is included, for historical purposes.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
Good Hunting!!

P-82B Twin Mustang, PTO
By Wrench in Allied Fighters
P-82B 'Twin Mustang'
What If... mod for WW2 PTO SF/SFG/WoV/WoE -06 Patch Levels ONLY!!!
This is a modification of Pasko's F-82G into something for the "What If..." worlds of World War II: 1946, in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. This mod will recreate the P-82B "Twin Mustang" Long Range Day Fighter version, had it gone into full procduction for use against the Japanese Home Islands.
This is a COMPLETE addon aircraft, with all necessary parts included. A new skin, based off the original templates, represents aircraft from the 46th Fighter Squadron, 21st Fighter Group, based at Ie Shima, Okinawa in 1945 till wars end. Colors and markings are historically correct for the 46ths P-51D/H Mustangs, just adapted for TwinMust useage, and the serial numbers are also correct for P-82B as they were assigned to the 380 aircraft that were cancelled at the (historic) war's end. Twenty actually entered service, but that's a tale for another day.
As can be expected, some small changes have been made; mostly to create a 'day-only' version. The avionics.ini has been edited to remove the search/track radar, while leaving the audio-only RWR intact. All lighting has been updated, with the addition of a landing light (albeit on the wrong strut...), and the 3 underwing formation/identification lights seen on all Mustang variants. The FM remains essentially intact as issued, although some tweeking is requied, as the aircraft seems about 50-75 knots slower than it's Real Life counterpart. Other than that, it handles quite well!!
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested ONLY in 2006 Patch Levels SF/WoV/WoE. Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level and eariler) aircraft being used in the post 08 patch enviroments. It is NOT reccomended for use in WoI or SF/SFG/WoV/WoE in these post 08 patch game installs. It is also NOT reccomended for use in the SF2 NextGen series. If you insist on doing so, you do so at your own risk. No support is available from me for any issues you may experience. You have been warned/advised...
=IMPORTANT x2: You WILL need the WW2 Weapons Pak (or equlivant BunyPak of 06) to get the WW2 weapons, bombs and such. The P/F-82 rocket racks and drop tanks already exist in that pack, but have been included here as a "just in case" for those needing them for some other pack.
The WW2 Weapons Pak is available at CombatAce at the following URL:
http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8495
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

F-79C Manta Update Pak
By Wrench in Fictional Aircraft, Experimental and UAV's
Northrop/Horton F-79C "Manta" Update Pak for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI (post-08 patch) & SF2/SF2:V/SF2:E
Just a small little update for the F-79C Manta, which adds the weapons pylons, a 'smaller' pilot figure, some flight model tweeks to the data ini, and a new loadout ini.
Also included, although I have NO idea if this is important or even necessary, is a 'USERLIST.INI' for use in SF2NextGen series sims.
Again this is NOT the complete aircraft, just some inis and bits. The complete aircraft mod is available here:
http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8526
Basically, all this does is replace the original inis with a more 'reactive' flight model, adds the new pylons as a 'fake pilot seat', just like on the RAF Peregrine, but you one get 2 pylons on this bird.
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested in Post-Patch SF/WoV/WoE/WoI. Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level) aircraft. Fly accordingly!!! It has also been extensively tested in the SF2 series. This bird acutally handles quite well in 08 level games, and just good in SF2 NextGens. =
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
have fun!

North Africa (Western Desert) ver.2
North Africa Terrain Upgrade For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 MTO mods
This started out as a simple targets upgrade, and turned into a major rework of Edward's "North Africa" or Western Desert Terrain for WW2. As you can expect, the targets have been greatly 'enhanced', with some additions, some areas have been retiled for ease of targetization. The visuals (ie: the eye candy) has been enhanced by these revamped target areas. This will allow single mission and campain builders more latitude in their creation of missions and campaigns. It also has the side effect of enhancing in-game generated single mission play, too!
This is a COMPLETE terrain, designed to REPLACE the original verison in it's entirety. All necessary parts are included; tiles, inis, LOTS of new terrain items, with the excpetion for some 'permission-only' GroundObject items. 2 re-done planning maps (1 & 2) are also included. Also, there are at LEAST 3 Easter Eggs on the map.
There ARE some historical flaws (and probably physical geographic ones as well!!), which as most of you know gauls the daylights out of me; they are fully detailed in the "Notes & Explinations" section below.
The data ini has been upgraded to the semi-latest standards (ie: 2006 patch level). Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". NOTE: this is NOT designed for the post-08 patch or SF2 "NextGen" series. The terrain's data ini does NOT have the new Height Data included!!! (however, that is easily added if you're familiar with the varous terrain data inis, and how to 'update' them).
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE WW2 WEAPONS PAK !! =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GEO'S WW2 GROUND OBJECTS PAKS!! MOST IMPORTANT!!! =
It has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As most of the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post 08 SF/WoV/WoE/WoI or any of the SF2 'NextGen' series; it is NOT designed for useage in those type of game installs. If you choose to do so, expect NO support from me -- you're on your own. Although, it should work pretty well, in any case. Some data ini adjustments will probably be required for the additional effects.
As always, it's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder somewhere's thats easy to find. This will give you access to the rest of the readme for full, detailed install instructions and the Usual Notes and Other Ramblings...
Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It's HIGHLY reccomended you read this document completly through before installing this mod.
Happy Landings!!

Ho-229V3A Pak
By Wrench in Axis Fighters
Horton Ho-229V3a Flying Wing Upgrade Pak For SF/WoV/WoE: ETO & MTO "SWOTL" Style Installs
-06 Patch Level Installs ONLY
This is a semi-new aircraft, based off Pako's original Ho-229. I've created a 'production' variant, had the War In Europe lasted further into 1945/46. This is a complete aircraft mod, with all parts included. The new inis will reflect the 'full production' version, as this aircraft can be tasked with pretty much all mission profiles. 2 underwing (body?) pylons have been added via the Fake Pilot Method for bombs, drop tanks and the Kramer X-4 air-to-air missile. The weapons are NOT included; they can be found in my WW2 Weapons Pak, available at CombatAce. Other tweeks (borrowed from my post-war What If.. F-79 Manta) include the additon of running, formation and landing lights.
Two new skins, from my upsized home-grown templates with all redrawn panel lines, and standard Luftwaffe stencling, are included. They are:
JG-1 in Europe, done up in a 1945-ish RLM 70/81 over 78
JG-27 in North Africa/Middle East, done in a 'mottle' finish of RLM 79/80 over 78 (the same as the Fw-190 skin I did some years back)
1/JG-400, Pasko's original skin for Europe, with new individual aircraft numbers.
So, in essence, you can create 2 new aircraft; one for your "SWTOL" ETO install and another for a MTO version. The 2 new skins are NOT designed to work together in an ETO only based install. See "Splitting Theatre Usage" in the Install Instructions below. Also, there is some "unique" behavior exhibited in the 06 patch level games, PLEASE read the "Flying the 229" section in the "Notes" below!!!
Individual aircraft number decals for 32 aircraft are included for all, as they are different colors. Unfortunatly no Stab markings are included, although I DO have them as decals around here somewheres..... Just couldn't figure out HOW to do them properly for a Flying Wing!! The tail swastika is also NOT on the aircraft, which IS historically accurate, as there are NO vertical surfaces for it to be put on!
My patent-pending artwork-style Hangar and Loading screens are also included, as are the damage tgas.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read it all the way through, so as to be familarized with the procedures, and whatever issues I've encountered.

Handley-Page Peregrine FGA.1
By Wrench in Fictional Aircraft, Experimental and UAV's
Handley-Page Peregrine FGA.1 for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI, Post-Patch (9/08 & 10/08) & SF2 Series Installs
A "What If..." aircraft for the early Cold War....
This is a mod of Pasko's Ho-229, which I modded into the "What If" F-79 'Manta, now modded yet again into an UK built version for the RAF. (did that sound as confusing as it looked???)
This is a complete aircraft mod, containing everything needed to just unzip and fly. A new pilot figure, and the pylon "seats" will need installing, but that's a pretty simple matter.
The skin, created from new 1024x1024 templates, is based off the original WW2 Luftwaffe one, and has completly redrawn panel and rivet lines. All new decals representing 54 Squadron, RAF have been either created by me or borrowed from Spinners RAF Decals Pak. Period style lighting has been added; running and ID lights, and a landing light. The cockpit, while based off the A-4B, has been extensively edited to make use of the new coding in post-08-patches for the "OpenCockpit", as has the data ini. This allows the external model's canopy frame to work for us. If attempting to use in a pre-patch install, you'll need to make all sorts of adjustments, and even I don't remember them all. Suffice it to say, it's built for post patch -- keep it that way.
A new "WoE-style" hangar screen has been created for this aircraft (usable in ALL versions of the sim). Damage tgas are incuded here as well, just in case you happen to get shot up....
This mod is designed for use with, I'm hoping, ANY weapons pak. You may just need to add a few things. If you've already added the weapons provided from another mod or weapons pak, you need not add them again. The data ini has been extensiverly expanded from the Manta mod, to include the new 'fake pilot seat' pylons that have been added for weapons carriage. Depending on the year flown you'll either have US AIM-9B Sidewinders or RAF Firestreak IRMs. It has been set to use the stock 3rdWire 100 gallon drop tank, and the stock UK bombs. The SNEB rocket pod, for use on CAS mission, should be available in just about all the weapons paks.
Some tweeking of the Flight Model, mostly the "StallMoment" line for the wings, have been incorporated. The aircraft handles EXCEPTIONALLY well for such an old model.
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested in Post-Patch SF/WoV/WoE/WoI & SF2. In fact, I tested it EXTENSIVELY in SF2 to be sure it would work ok! Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level) aircraft. Fly accordingly!!!.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

Martlet I/III Fleet Air Arm
By Wrench in Allied Fighters
Grumman Martlet Mk. I/III Pak for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE - WW2 MTO Installs (06 Patch Level)
This is a mod of my mod of the F4F-3 variant, based on Pasko's F4F-4, as used by the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, the Martlet I & III. These these 2 marks were 'acquired' by the FAA from the French and Greek orders, they were never recieved by the countries they were destined for due to "an inconvient lack of a deliver point" (ie: overrun by the enemy). It is the standard, non-folding wing version, with 4 50 caliber machine guns. It IS fully carrier capable, and can be used in user-made missions or campaigns.
This is a brand new skin, using my home-grown templates (as also used on my USN versions), representing a semi-fictional skin for 805 Squadron, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. I say semi-fictional, as this is designed to either compliment or replace the FAA 805 Buffalo that I did earlier in 2009; for those that can't get the F2A Buffalo, this will suffice. It carries the standard FAA camo scheme of Extra Dark Sea Gray/Slate Gray over Sky, as seen on other Martlets serving in the Middle East/Western Desert in 1940/41. New decals for serial numbers have been created; these ARE accurate serials assinged to Martlet I & IIIs, as taken over by the Royal Navy. Again; in this semi-fictional usege, they fit quite nicely.
This is a complete aircraft mod with all parts needed to unzip, install and fly away. REMEMBER: although designed for the MTO (ie: Battle for Crete, and Defense of Alexandria, etc), this skin IS perfectly usable for FAA Squadrons flying from English bases (ie: Orkneys, Scapa Flow, etc). BTW, the letters ARE for 805 when flying their Buffalos from HMS Eagle, during the Battle for Crete. They were all lost at Malme, Crete (well, there 3 or 4 that were really there...that is).
I have supplied an "alternative" cockpit ini, modified from Geo's F6F-3, for those that may want a more 'closer approximation' of the Wildcat's Real Life pit. The cockpit is NOT supplied from the Hellcat, so you'll need to obtain it yourselves from Geo's site and transfer over the cockpit folder, and from this version, the "US_N-3_Gunsight.tga". Instructions for that are below, in the "To Swap Pits" section. In truth, THIS would be the way to go. It's much closer, and better looking than the original, which isn't a US Navy pit at all!!
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft is designed for use in SF/SFG/WoV/WoE, at the 06 patch level -ONLY-, It has =NOT= been tested it in post 08 patch SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI. It has also NOT been tested in the NextGen, SF2 series. You use it in these enviroments at your own risk. =
=This mod is designed for use with the WW2 Weapons Pak by me, as it contains all the needed weapons . If attempting to use this aircraft with any other weapons pak, you'll need to add ALL the WW2 era bombs, torpedoes, etc. They are NOT included in this package.=
As always, it's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder somewhere's thats easy to find. This will give you access to the rest of the readme for full, detailed install instructions and the Usual Notes and Other Ramblings...

Black VietnamSEA HM bmps
Black Repainted HM_bmps for VietnamSEA Based Terrains ONLY, for use in Post-08 Patch Levels
For Add-On Terrains for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and SF2/SF2:/SF2:E
This "repair package" is for those people still having trouble/issues with items placed near the sea/land transitions, and for those terrains using the Desert tileset that have NOT been brought up to 08 patch levels. The problem manifests itself as 'partly sunken ships' in port, or GroundObjects and Building that seem to be below ground level when near the shoreline.
You'll note the listing of the NextGen sims, albeit THEIR terrains need NO adjusting; this is for 3rd Party, Add-Ons to be used in all the aforementioned sims, that were originally designed for use in the Classic Series, and have been migrated over. This will also fix them for use in the Classic Series.
This fix has been covered innumerable times in several hundred posts on the CombatAce message boards, and even has it's own thread in the dreaded Knowledge Base.
What this fix does, is change the Height statements for those terrains built in the 06 patch level, and before, and will bring them up to date with the O8 Level for the Classic Series, and will work the same for the NextGen series.
Some knowledge of use of Skypat's Cat Extractor Tool is needed, as you will probably be needing it to extract the terrain ***_data.ini from one of the Original 3 Terrains - Desert, VietnamSEA and GermanyCE, to make comparisons to for the terrain to be repaired. For the most part, the data in the Install Section below will have all the details necessary; but just be prepared.
I'll try to keep the install/ repair procedures as easy as possible for the less experienced users.
As always, unzip this pak to a temp folder or your desktop to gain access to the rest of this readme. It should be mentioned at this point, you're REALLY going to want to read the document all the way through before installing. This will aquiant you with the procedures and help you in the long run.

Ordway's Early MiG Pits -Upgrade/Repair Package
By Wrench in Jet Cockpits
Early MiG Series Cockpit Upgrade/Repair Pakage
for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI & SF2/SF2:V/SF2:E
This is a rebulid of Ordway's Early MiG pits for use in ALL the 3rd Wire Series. It's designed for the following aircraft (and/or variants thereof):
MiG-15bis (by Pasko)
Stock 3rdWire:
MiG-17 Fresco-A
MiG-17F Fresco-C
MiG-19S Farmer-C
It is also, therefore, completly useable for any of the myriad 3rd-Party mods of variants of these aircraft (excepting those Frescos and Farmers that are radar equipped -doh!)
Specifialy, it's designed to REPLACE the original versions, as some (including myself) have experienced odd CTDs with an 'aircraftobject.dll' fault in the SF2 series.. By rebuilding these with a STOCK A-4B cockpit lod (albeit from WoE), and reusing Mr. Ordway's VERY COOL gauge bmp repaints, and re-editing the A-4B_cockpit ini, this has been eliminated. This mod has been EXTENSIVELY tested in SF2, as this was the basis and reason for the 'fix', and will work in the Classic Series just as well as the originals. All necessary parts are included.
I even snuck in some Generic WoE-style Hangar screens for the 17 & 19. These will also work in ANY version of the sim.
As always, it's reccomended that you unzip this package to temp folder, or your desktop, to gain access to the rest of the readme for it's specific instructions. Which are gonna run a bit on the long side....so you probably (read: SHOULD) read the document all the way through first before installing. Just to be safe, doncha know
With expecial thanks to Mr. R. Ordway for creating these in the first place!!

Modern Darwin/Timor
Modern Darwin Terrain Ver 2.0
for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE & SF2/SF2:V/SF2:E
UPDATED to Version 2.0 6/11/09
This is a rebuild of MY rebuild of Edward's WW2 Pacific Theatre map of Northern Australia, Timor, and parts of Indonesia. This moves it up into modern-ish times; the operational time frame I've designed it for is apporximately 1950-2050. Modern place names have been used were needed (and discoverable!). It has been extensively updated for Post-08 Patch Level installs for the Classic Series {herein after to be known as "TOS"}, and is usable in the New Series {herein after to be known as "NextGen"}.
The Update is designed to COMPLETLY replace the earlier version I'd released some years ago, and is a COMPLETE terrain with just about everything needed for installation.
It has been extensively re-tiled, with the addition of MANY parts from the WoV "GreenHell" mod by Brain32 & CA_Stary, while still using ONLY the original stock tiles (in other words, TODs for the jungle/paddy/grass. City TODs are still the stock ones, due to target placements within the cities) . The target areas have been 'cleaned up' and enhanced, including some that are of a 'fictional nature' to enchance gameplay. The movement ini has had some additions for CAS missions on Timor., The data ini has also been brought up to present (post-08) standards, with all effects activated. For mission and campaign builder, 2 Friendly Carrier stations have been added.
I've included several new ground objects, mostly to replace some that have gone missing from General Usage . Included are 1 new destroyer, 2 1/2 aircraft carriers, and some other things. (I say 2 1/2 carriers, as one, HMAS Australia, is just ini edits to create a "What If..." for the RAN). There's also quite a few surprises ... so keep a sharp eye out, especially when flying near coastlines/ports at night ...
*NextGen users take note -- you =MAY= be making data ini adjustementst for use in SF2/SF2:V/SF2:E. I've experienced NO anomalies during testing. Your mileage may vary*
**SF/SFG/SF2 Only users take note: you will be missing 2 of the naval vessels; the SumnerFRAM2 destroyer and the SCB-125 Essex class aircraft carrier. You will have to import the various and sundry bits from WoV or Post-08 Patch WoE. Or find "other alternatives". Or switch to WoE/WoV as your main gaming install.
It is also suggested (read: REQUIRED!!) you have the latest weapons pak installed for the various guns, SAMs, and whathaveyous. This is mostly for the ships, and air defense units --this is MOST critical for NextGen SF2 series users!!!! Any additional Ground Objects you can get your hands on, is also HIGHLY reccomended!! (Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak, Kesselbruts Zil Trucks, you get the idea...)
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It is also HIGHLY reccomended you read this document ALL the way through to get an understanding of what's to be accomplished, and how to do it.
Happy Landings!!

Skyraider Cockpit Mod
By Wrench in Prop and Helo Cockpits
"Stand In" Prop Cockpit Mod for MontyCZ's A-1H and 3rd Wire's A-1H/A-1J Skyraiders
For SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and SF2/SF2:V/SF2:E
This mod is a semi-complete overhaul of the stock A-4B Skyhawk cockpit into a 'passable' stand-in prop-style pit for use on Monty's Skyraiders and the new Skyraiders in SF2:V. I say "passable", as opposed to the more true "fiddled-with-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life, not-even-close-to-reality".
This mod uses ALL stock items, found in just about all versions, and includes EVERYTHING needed to get your AI SPADs in SF2:V up and flyable. All bmps, inis, and the cockpit lod are included. Most of the gauges have been repainted and reletter for a more "piston engined" look. As stated earlier, it's really designed for use with MontyCZ's A-1, but it's still in the Hangar for it's overhaul, hence, I'm releasing this mod before the aircraft it was made for. Rest assured it'll be included in the new version.
This package has been tested in all the Classic Series -hereinafter known as "TOS", and also in SF2:V -hereinafter to be known as "NextGen" versions of the sim. It works pretty damn good in both, allowing for the innaccuracies in the general layout and so forth. A new avionics ini is included for an audio-only RWR. While not too helpfull, it'll allow you some 'heads-up' time to look around for that radar or radar-controlled AAA or SAM that's about to get you.
DISCLAIMER: this cockpit layout ain't even close to Real Life . I already know this, but it works, the instruments read pretty close to 'normal', and it's free.
As always, unzip the package to a temp folder, or your desktop, to gain access to the rest of this readme for the full install instructions. It's reccomended you DO so, and read this through before installing; it'll help you understand what we're going to do a bit more.

IL-28 Beagle Cockpit & Ini Upgrade Pak
By Wrench in Jet Cockpits
IL-28 Beagle Cockpit Upgrade for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and SF2
Modifications and repaints to the stock F-4B Phantom cockpit creates a 'reasonably facsimile' twin-jet engine pit for use on the otherwise "AI Only" Ilyushin IL-28 'Beagle". I say 'reasonable', as the Real Life , the Beagle didn't have a radar scope in the cockpit; all that was handled by the bomb aimer/navigator. But, this will allow the Player Pilot some control over what happens.
This is a complete package, with all the necessary bits to just unzip, and install into your game install of choice. As I knew this mod would work in the Classic Series (SF/SFG/Wo-whatever), most of the testing was done is SF2. This assured me that all would work (more or less) as advertised.
For SF2/2:V players, specfic inis for those games are included, edited as necessary to match those of the Classic Series.
For Classic Series users, the data ini included is for use in those installs at the 08 patch level.
Both data inis included herein have had some small adjustments in the gun aim angles, and landing lights added for those bothersome night operations, and a small tweek to the landing gear's rolling radius.
Also included is a generic WoE-Style hangar screen (usable in ALL versions of the series), and the loadout.bmp for the Loading Screen. For those that don't have them, the MiG-style RWR sounds are here for your enjoyment and panicification (with no display, you won't know WHAT kind of radar, or where ... just somebody's looking at YOU!!! <evil grin> )
As always, detailed instruction are included below in the "To Install" section. It's reccomended that you unzip this package to temp folder or your desktop to gain access to the rest of the readme FOR said instructions. The "Notes and Other Nonsensical Ramblings" section will make good reading too, for explinations and etc.
Enjoy!

Douglas DB-7 Light Bomber, French Air Force, for SF/ WoV/WoE WW2 installs
This is a mod of the Dev A-Team's A-20C Havoc/Boston into an 'almost' earlier version for the French Air Force during the Battle of France. I say 'almost', as the original DB-7s had several physical differences to the later USAAF and RAF and everyone else's version.
NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK INSTALLED TO GET THE WW2 WEAPONS AND GUNS
It should also be noted, you'll be adding a new machine gun, and 3 new bombs for the AdA. Warm up your gun and weapons editors!!!
PLEASE read the readme enclosed for full, detailed instructions. Full list of contrubutors is there as well!!
With special thanks to Heck for creating the 7.5 MAC mg.

VA-923, AD-4 Skyraider, Korean War
By Wrench in A-1 Skyraider Skins
VA-923 Skin Set for AD-4 Skyraiders, Korean War,
for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and SF2 & SF2:V
This is a new skin for MontyCZ's Skyraider, and in particular the AD-4 Skyraider V2 pak recently released.
This skin represents aircraft from VA-923 aboard USS Bon Homme Richard in 1951 during the Korean War. It's your standard or garden variety Navy Gloss Blue, with all new decals for Modex, BuNum and other sundry bits. As with the AD-4 V2 upgrade pak, this skin have been 'weathered' and show all the signs of heavy usage -staining, streaks and dirt and so forth.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

AD-4N/NL Skyraider
By Wrench in A-1 Skyraider
AD-4NL Skyraider, Korean War, VC-35
UPDATED to Ver 2 for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and SF2 & SF2:V, too
This version is designed to TOTALLY replace the one I released in 2005; a LOT has been updated.
This has a brand new skin, still representing VC-35 "Night Hecklers" during the Korean War, is based off new templates
from Royohboy's AdA Skyraiders, all new decals for modex and semi-historical BuNums. I saw 'semi', as these ARE in
fact, REAL BuNums as assigned by BuAer to AD-4NLs, but I was unable to ascertain exactly which were assigned to
VC-35's aircraft. So, consider them generic AD-4N BuNums.
This is a full, complete add on aircraft mod, with all the goodies necessary. Along with the new skin and decals, there's a
heavily modified/repainted/tweekified A-4E cockpit. (more below in "Notes" on an alternate).
Small data ini edits add a landing light, a few more running lights. Edits to the landing gear make this aircraft fully functional in the post-08 patch world. It should also function pretty well in SF2/SF2:V. This has been tested, and acts just the same in SF2 as is post-patch WoE. It's fully carrier rated, so mission and campaign builders can do their thing.
2 new -only available in this mod!!- carrier deck Hangar Screens are included. Both are the "WoE-style", but for the SF2
series, that one has the blackboard removed. Also, a new damage tga for the 'tail' section has been created.
Designed for use with any weapons pak, the 3 necessary addons, the APS-31 radar pod, AN/ALT-7 ECM pod, a small
50-ish gallon and 300 gallon tank are included. What is NOT included, are the HVARs, 250, 500 and 1000 lb WW2 era
bombs. You WILL need to have these available via one of the existing weapons paks!!!
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
Good Hunting!!

AT-6G Texan "Mosquito FAC"
North American AT-6G "Mosquito FAC"
for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI, Post 08 Patch Level and probably SF2/SF2:V
This is a mod of Bunyap's little T-6 Texan trainer into the AT-6G as used during the Korean War as the "Mosquito FAC"
This is a COMPLETE aircraft mod, with all the trimmings. There have been extensive edits to the data, loadout inis and a "new" cockpit. It is designed for use in the post 08 patch envrionments; in fact a couple of edits WON'T work without being in post 08 patch (movable rudder lights, fer example)
It has been totally reskined in a Natural Metal, more of a generic than any particular squadron, with all new Buzz Number and accurate Serial Numbers. I say 'accurate', as they ARE for AT-6G, but not from any particular squadron.
All the weapons supplied have been updated for this late game usage, and are supplied in the new 'folder style'. For SF2/SF2V users, a data ini for each weapon is included in each folder. (note: most of these propably already exist in the SF2 weapons pak. PLEASE check before installing, AND note the T-6_30cal_GunPod has been edited to make the guns shoot in the right direction)
A new blade-type upper antenna, with repositioned pitot tube, and set for use as a 'fake pilot' seat is also included (thanks to Ravenclaw!!). This is also usable for other nations that used the AT-6G in the COIN or FAC roles. New Hangar Screen, in the WoE style, allowing it's use in all the Classic Series and SF2/2:V and a new Loading Screen are also provided.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
Enjoy!

AD-4 Skyraider, Version 2.0
By Wrench in A-1 Skyraider
AD-4 Skyraider, Korean War Era, Ver. 2
for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and possibly SF2 & SF2:V
Updated to Version 2, Uploaded 5/20/09
Modifications and reskins for MontyCZ's A-1H to create the eariler AD-4 Skyraider, as used during the Korean War.
This version is designed to TOTALLY replace the one I released in 2005; a LOT has been updated. It is also designed for use in a Korean War Era install -- although it's quite workable in any era up to 1956, when the US Navy changed the color scheme.
It is also redesigned for use in the post-08 patch environment of the above mentioned games. Instructions for back-dating to 06 levels are in the "Notes" section below.
There are 2 brand new skins, still representing VF-194 and VMA-121, during the Korean War, but based off new templates, with some enhancements from Royohboy's AdA Skyraiders, all new decals for modex and semi-historical BuNums. I say 'semi', as these ARE in fact, REAL BuNums as assigned by BuAer to AD-3/4s, but I was unable to ascertain exactly which were assigned to each squadron's aircraft. So, consider them as rather generic AD-3/4 BuNums, but accurate nonetheless.
NOTE: these skins are also designed to REPLACE any earlier versions!!!
The VF-194 skin is a redo of that from the original release, with all new decals. The VMA-121 skin bmps are new, and also gets all new decals. I believe the original skin/decal set was done by Volksjager.
For those that might be wondering, yes, there are 2 more skins in the works....
This is a full, complete add on aircraft mod, with all the goodies necessary. Along with the new skins and decals, there's a heavily modified/repainted/tweekificateded A-4E cockpit. (more below in "Notes" on an alternate for those that wish a more beautiful, functional and fantastic cockpit). My old 'artwork' style Korean AD Hangar Screen is included; all the artwork was done by the legendary R.G. Smith, who worked for Douglas, and was more or less the Official Company Artist.
Small data ini edits add a landing light, a few more running lights. Edits to the landing gear make this aircraft fully functional in the post-08 patch world. It should also function pretty well in SF2/SF2:V. This has not been tested by me however, as I don't have either of them yet. It's fully carrier rated, so mission and campaign builders can do their thing. Once we get the new Korea map....
Designed for use with any weapons pak, the 2 necessary addons, the AN/APS-4 radar pod and 300 gallon tank are included. What is NOT included, are the HVARs, 250, 500 and 1000 lb WW2 era bombs. You WILL need to have these available via one of the weapons paks. However, a "new" weapons has been added - the 260 lb AN-M81 Fragmentation Bomb as used by the Navy. Expeciallly usefull for those pesky CAS, Armed Recon and SEAD mission (and historically used by Panthers in the flak suppression roles)
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

Bf-109E-7 by RussoUK
By Wrench in Axis Fighters
Bf-109 E-7 Trop for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE WWII North Africa --for Games at 06 Patch Level -ONLY!!!-
This is a mod of Russo's great Bf-109 E-3, to make the Bf-109 E-7 Trop as used in North Africa in WWII. The E-7 is a much more typical aircraft for WWII North Africa than other the earlier variants of the Bf-109E. The principal differences from the earlier variants were the ability to carry a bomb or drop tank under the fuselage, and a slightly more powerful engine.
Russo made and released a LOD for the E-7 model, which has a bomb/drop tank cradle under the fuselage, but never released the completed mod. Here it is, FM changes and all, with two new skins, a new desert camo skin and a plain desert tan skin. The cockpit is especially for the Bf-109E by Kesselbrut, the skins by Charles. A new Revi 3 gunsight has been added by me, based on the one from the EAW PappaRomeo pak.
Included are the original hangar and loading screens, as well as one of my 'boxart' types and a generic 'mto_109_loading.bmp. (that one actualy depicts Franz models, but is a VERY nice painting by Trudigan)
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft is designed for use in SF/WoV/WoE -ONLY- at the 10/06 patch levels. It has =NOT= been tested it in post 8/28/08 patch WoI, nor post 9/08 - 10/08 patch SF/SFG/WoV/WoE. Nor has it been tested in SF2 or SF2:V. You use it in these enviroments at YOUR own risk. =

MiG-19PM Farmer-E Mod -Ver 2.0
By Wrench in Soviet Union/Russian Aircraft
MiG-19PM Farmer-E upgrade Ver.2 for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI and maybe SF2/SF2-V
UPDATED to Version 2.0 5/5/09
This is a simple upgrade that will bring this aircraft to the latest patch standards (08 Level)
This is ALL the other bits from before complied into a complete package, all inclusive, and is designed to TOTALLY replace any earlier upgrades.
The changes implimented herein are mostly in the switching of the Izumrud nose bubbles to a 'pilot seat', ala FastCargo's trick. This will allow it to show on aircraft parked on the line. Included is Mago/Paladrain's cockpit from the Mig-21PFM. While not a perfect match, it's the 'bestest closest fit', and works REALLY nicely!! Other data ini edits remove all 3 gun barrels and the xtra weapons pylon. A new skin, based off my 1024 templates is also included, with the ejection ports and fusleage gun-blast shielding removed. Decal ini edits move the bort numbers aft and make them slightly smaller; meaning they're not -quite- correct, but at least now something will show up on the nose. For those wishing to resking for Czech or Hungarian usage, you'll have to plot the new postions yourselves, as they placed them on the aft fuesleage.
The avionics ini has been updated to include an audio-only RWR; not sure of what type, probably some kind of a Serina, but it does work. The cockpit ini has also been modified to use the original style radar and radar display that Pasko created. No other changes have been made to it. So the instructions given in the original 'readme' still apply for target aquisition, tracking and firing. The is the 'Interception Procedures.txt' included in the main folder.
You'll also find an updated data ini to 08 standards. I've split the Alkali stations, to allow for a "mixed" loadout of either/or the IR or SAH versions of the AA-1, even though I've turned up nothing that says that a mix could be used. It's part of my gaming belief system "playbility & fun sometimes takes precedence over historicality" (and everyone knows what a stickler I am for historical correctness!!)
The original 'box-art' style hangar screen is included, along with a new WoE 'on the runway' version, so you can choose which you like best.
It is designed for use with any/all weapons paks, or none. I've incuded the Alkali A & B missiles from the 06 Bunyap Pak; still in their RS-2US and RS-2U naming conventions, in the 'seperate folder' format now usable in all post patch games. For those with SF2 and SF2:V, the weapons data ini for each missile is included in each of the folders. As I don't have these games, you all'll have to figure out the numbering on your own. But, with TKs release of the SF2 weapons editor, this should pose no major problem
As always, it's reccomened you unzip this package to a temp folder, or your desktop, to gain access to the rest of this readme for the full, easy to follow install instructions.

You'll also find an updated data ini to 08 standards The data ini also has had the gun aim angles adjusted to fire almost perfectly through the center of the sight. Given the lack of ammo in Red Air, this ought to be a big help. You'll also find working landing lights for those pesky night intercepts....you never know when the Political Officer will wander across the runway, drunk as a skunk. MiG-17PF Fresco-D Upgrade Pak - Ver 2
By Wrench in Mig-17 Fresco
MiG-17PF Fresco-D upgrade -Ver2.0 for SF/SFG/ WoV/WoE/WoI and maybe SF2 & SF2-V
Updated to Ver. 2 4/20/09
This version is designed to completly REPLACE the mod I released some time ago.....
This is an almost complete rebuild of Madcaddie's MiG-17PF 'Fresco-D' limited all-weather, radar equipped interceptor. This has been tweeked to use a modified UV-16 rocket pod as an air-to-air weapon, along with a new-ish version of the S-5 unguided rocket.
Most of the data for this weapons tweek was worked out by Lexx_Luthor in a thread over at the 3rd Wire Message Boards, using some data I've discoverd in the past. (see "Notes" section below for more details). The Flight Model parameters themselves have been copied directly from the latest Fresco-C's, so they are the most current (as of the 08 Patches for WoE).
I'm releasing the ENTIRE aircraft, minus the lods of course, as they exist in all versions of the game,
EVERYTHING is included, all the inis, new 'SovietSilver' larger skin bumps, etc.
Also included is the cockpit, basically Mago/Paladrin's MiG-21MF; with some small modifications to the radar display. And, ONLY available in this mod, a new WoE-style Hangar Screen; the original 'artwork' type is also still included
This is a completly new skin, created from a new template, made by me, based off the original 3rdW units. I've resized it up to 1024x1024, with completly redrawn rivet and panel lines. Also included is a revamped "M17PF.bmp" for the nose radar bubble, also resized and repainted.
You =WILL= be using the weapons editor to add the new rockets and rocket pod!!!!!
==IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS EDITOR==
As always, it's reccomened you unzip this package to a temp folder, or your desktop, to gain access to the rest of this readme for the full, easy to follow install instructions. Well, almost easy...don't forget you'll be adding weapons, if you've not downloaded this before...

MiG-17PF (SP-16) Upgrade Pak Ver.2
By Wrench in Mig-17 Fresco
MiG-17PF (SP-16) Fresco-D upgrade for SF/SG/ WoV/WoE/WoI and maybe SF2 & SF2-V
UPDATED 4/21/09
This version is designed to completly REPLACE the mod I released some time ago.....
This is an almost complete rebuild of Madcaddie's MiG-17PF (SP-16) 'Fresco-D' limited all-weather, radar equipped interceptor. This has been tweeked to use a modified UV-16 rocket pod as an air-to-air weapon, along with new-ish versions of the S-5 unguided rocket. This aircraft is also equiped with the RS-2U 'Alkali' beam-riding missile. This mod also makes ue of the 'station specific code' for the rocket pods, disallowing the use of other weapons as a saftey measure.
Most of the data for this weapons tweek was worked out by Lexx_Luthor in a thread over at the 3rd Wire Message Boards, using some data I've discoverd in the past. (see "Notes" section below for more details). The Flight Model parameters themselves have been copied directly from the latest Fresco-C's, so they are the most current.
There is also a completly new skin, created from a new template, made by me, based off the original 3rdW units. I've resized it up to 1024x1024, with completly redrawn rivet and panel lines.
And, ONLY available in this mod, a new WoE-style Hangar Screen; the original 'artwork' type is also still included
You =WILL= be using the weapons editor to add the new rockets and rocket pod, if you are adding this mod for the first time. However, there HAS been a slight change in the UV-16AA rocket pod. These changes are documented below, in the "Weapons Installation" section.
== IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS EDITOR ==
As always, it's reccomened you unzip this package to a temp folder, or your desktop, to gain access to the rest of this readme for the full, easy to follow install instructions.
Or, in other words.....
You WILL also be reading the enclosed readme, by order of the State Ministry of Instructions, which contains fully detailed, step by step procedures for installation. There is also a substantial section by Comrade "General Notes", that you will find interestering and explanitory. If not, the uranium mines of Siberia await....

SBD-2/3 Daunless, VS-6, USS Enterprise, Pearl Harbor
By Wrench in US Navy and USMC
SBD-3 Dauntless Skin, VS-6, USS Enterprise; for SF/WoV/WoE PTO installs
"Pearl Harbor Defenders" - American Bombers
This skin and Ini Update Pak for Wolf257's SBD Dauntless dive bomber represents VS-6 (Scouting Squadron 6) as based aboard USS Enterprise in December, 1941.
Coloring and Decals represent the standard type markings as seen on Naval/Marine aircraft of the time, and include NEW BuNums and aircraft type name on the tail. BuNums are accurate, as they ARE from -2 & -3 Dauntless', but my research has only turned up 6 actual numbers as used by VS-6 that day. Unfortunately, they are the aircraft that were lost...
A new decal is also used for the arrestor hook; it finally gets some color :)
Ini mods include (yes, yet again!) some small lighting corrections from my pervious release of several years ago, modification of the StartYear; I've made it earlier, and the addition of a seat for the pilot to 'park it' on. The cockpit ini has a replacement 'ring-and-bead' type sight that is closer to the reticle in the (then) standard telescopic site used on all the early model (up until the -5 variant) Dauntless.
-= NOTE: You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 weapons and guns and such =-
-== This aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE and post-patch WoI (8/08) as well as post 9/08 & 10/08 SF/WoV/WoE. There still are some 'issues' with prop-plane flight models, but there has been a MARKED improvement!! You use it in these Post Patch Environments at YOUR own risk ==-
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

Northrop/Horten F-79C Manta
By Wrench in Fictional Aircraft, Experimental and UAV's
Northrop/Horton F-79C "Manta" for SF/WoV/WoE and maybe WoI & SF2
For Post-Patch (9/08 & 10/08) Installs ONLY
A "What If..." aircraft for the early Cold War....
This is a mod of Pasko's Ho-229 into a "What If" aircraft for the immeadate Post-War/Cold War period of 1948-1955.
This is a complete aircraft mod, containing everything needed to just unzip and fly. Some weapons and, of course, a new pilot figure will need installing, but that's a pretty simple matter.
The skin, created from new 1024x1024 templates, is based off the original WW2 Luftwaffe one, and has completly redrawn panel and rivet lines. All new decals representing a ficitonal USAF unit, 54th FIW, are included for 38 aircraft. These are the standard 'buzz numbers' and serial numbers as seen on USAF aircraft of the time period.
A new "WoE-style" hangar screen has been created for this aircraft. Also included are an illustrated Word doc and a pdf with the "What If..." historical notes. Damage tgas are here as well, just in case you happen to get shot up....
This mod is designed for use with, I'm hoping, ANY weapons pak. You may just need to add a few things. If you've already added the weapons provided from another mod or weapons pak, you need not add them again.
= IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested in Post-Patch SF/WoV/WoE/WoI. Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level) aircraft. Fly accordingly!!! It should also work in SF2 and later iterations - this has NOT been tested, however.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.
