The Key is RUN WITH DirectX because they are suppose to be backwards compatible. However, the purpose of DirectX 9.0 is to take advantage of features that todays video cards offer, as well provide new code for videocard manufactures to design new features around. <C> Fates

Well...that was a waste of time. Between Beer and I, neither of us could join the other. Kept saying "SERVER FULL", or "INCORRECT PASSWORD" when it wasn't or there was none. Several times I clicked on "JOIN GAME" and it launched me into someone elses server...which ticks me off...because no where in there options menu does it tell you what server you are playing on. Maybe it's in the console...I don't know...but it should be somewhere easy for everyone to see. BTW...there's no ingame FILTER when sorting servers by SERVERNAME or MAP...pretty ludricris IMHO. Maybe 3rd party software like ALL SEEING EYE is the way to go...and no..don't even mention Game****. <C> Fates

Do not download any mods without being certain. http://www.fpscentral.com/index.php?game=5&site=news&id=6521 Couple days ago a mod that would allow co-op in Doom 3 was released which supposedly wasn't finnished. However after several members from PlanetDoom gave it a test, they've recently discouvered that their cd key was now listed as "Already in Use". All of what this mod seems to do is display single player maps in the map list and crashes the host whenever a player attempts to join. Obviously, from now on it is believed that this is not a mod at all but more of a cd-key stealing program, so please be aware next time about what you download. Zagnut, I've found that you can almost put your flashlight away if you simply listen to the sounds very intently. Kinda hard to do while pooping your pants...hehe...but it's possible. They don'k make it easy at all...that's for sure. There are soooo many audio tracks happening... You got them screwming to return to HQ..while machinery is beating away...and sirens..and you comm radio goin balistic with traffic of everyone in Terror... They have capture the moment quite well.
