And I hope this game is better then the installation that I just went thru...what a bummer. 5CD's, things seem to go along ok, but there nothing to do....no fancy video, no slideshow, no music, just a retail box and a CONTROLS card to read during the 45 minutes installation and registration process.   7. Funny thing is..... The P40 bounciness is more predominantly at low speed.... Once you get the aircraft moving, and the tail off the ground, the rudder seems to work well, and the aircraft perform much more normal. The problem I have with this is: At lower taxi/takeoff speeds, the aircraft is heavier on the ground and should be much easier to control. The light controls, and bounciness should be a little more predominant once the aircraft lightens up. Not nearly as bouncy as what the sim produces, but more noe the less. <C> Fates
  8. Unfortunately no, they do not make case badges. There are a slew of things that I've thought of that could be sold there. But most are speacialty items like case badges, and you can pretty much get them printed a several online computer stores. I think www.Directron.com allows for this. <C> Fates
  9. I figured I'g get used to the aircraft....since I'm not a IL2 flyer, and my first impressions are not too bad, but the BOUNCYness is really irratating. Also, I would like to see Left-Right differential wheel braking.

  11. Tried to play some P40 missions into PearlHarbor.... The Bouncing on take off is a stupid joke. Not sure they've ever flown a taildragger much less a P40. I've got time in similar aircraft, and the Pfactor that's produced by these powerful single engine aircraft is very well modeled, but the bouncing has gotta go. You simply can't drive a 8k#+ aircraft down the grass strip. WTH? There are things called STRUTS that absorb shock....when filled with air, then they act like this sim, but when the proper mix of fluid and air are introduced, then they act much more realistically.   12. It is definately fun.... The lack of differential braking does not make me happy though. Has anyone tried to setup toe brakes? In real life, I can spin a taildragger around on a dime. This comes in handy on a carrier...when your getting used to the take off, and wanna back taxi. <C> Fates

  15. I took some screens today, and got this: 1) I'm not happy that it takes a screenshot at 2.3 Mb in TGA format....much prefer BMP. Anyone know what the cause of the red dot's/line is? (ATI Radeon 9700 PRo with latest cats, set at game prefs)

  19. AS I like to fly multiplayer and talk to squad members, I frequently just use the same sound as normal engines for both afterburner and non-ab.... Has a certain amount of serenity to it.... :) <C> Fates

  21. When you speak in Percentage % , that is refering to the maximum engine RPM. Thus, 100% Power=100% Rated Engine RPM. Afterburners happen AFTER the engine. They are mainly a controlled rocket engine. There can be a % of RPM greater then 100. This is because the 100% reference point is just that....a reference to the MAX RATED Engine RPM. Anything over this is overspeeding the engine. Overspeeds which occur for any time are bad....sometimes catostrophic. The 70% mark is a mark of Rated Thrust....IMHO, not Engine RPM. If the rated thrust is 100,000 Lbs and you are are producing 70,000 lbs of force, then you are at 70% Power....not RPM. Can you guys see the difference now? <C> Fates

  23. I don't understand the last 2 post...... You point out that post count is not a reflection of ones activity, as you stated, you visit often. Yet, you would justify a contest based on post count. Did you mean NOT Justify? The tone of the statements, as far as I understood, was that you were trying to explain to the reader that post count is not a gage of activity. I somewhat agree about post count. There are many contributers, especially modders that contribute their work to the site on a frequent basis. Should we deny them the ability to win a prize simply because their post count is less then a certain number? I think not. Contribution to the website comes in many forms. And as I've seen on other websites, not all post lead to any informations that is supportive or informative to the site or thread. Their are people that simply salivate over how high they can get their post count just so they are perceived to be an informative user....well, they are not. We'll have another contest real soon, so sit back and please contribute. Welcome all the new contributers to Biohaz and lets make this site a favorite for everyone. Cheers! Fates
