This was the single most pathetic race I've seen so far. Nascar is not suppose to be a demolition derby. It's suppose to be a race where the strongest team can stay out front and make the fewest mistakes. Nascar seriously needs to examine the rulebook and re-focus some attention on 2 areas; 1) Fast cars should not start in the middle of the pack. It is dangerous to everyone in the field. Nascar should work to make racing safer without jepordizing the outcome of the race. Starting lead-lap cars in scoring order ahead of non-lead lap cars would be a good first step. Maybe even do all starts single wide, or double wide with cars lined up in scoring order like at the start of a race. 2) It is assinine to close the pits when a yellow flag is dropped. The pit area should be a refuge for vehicles that are damaged in an accident to go to. It makes no sense to have a damage vehicle continue to make pace laps at 70mph while thier fender is cutting thier tire. It will only cause additional greviance. Lets make the freakin race safer!!! The reasons for me being upset, is the fact that I root for Jimmie Johnson, who ran in the top 3 most of the race only to be removed in the 18 car pile up caused by some slower driver that was just trying to let people by. Nascar has no excuse for this stupidity. <C> Fates

Kidding aside, Most of the HL2 modders are switching their projects to support Far Cry. The Crytek engine has simply been incredible. I doubt Hl2 has been canceled, it might as well be IMHO. I think people are just sick and tired of waiting, and from what I hear, the "PLOT" of HL2 isn't all that thick anyway. By the time HL2 Engine comes around, there will be far more better gaming engines around the corner. It's sorta like waiting to see what everyone else does before you release your idea...only to have your idea be shadowed by a better one. <C> Fates

I'm looking at buying a complete new Home Theatre package...but I tell ya, If you guys don't know what the world is talking about when it comes to HDTV formats and what not, you can easily be overcome with problems. I wanted to kick some dust here to see if anyone else has experience with a home theatre system to include: Widescreen HDTV, 6.1 or better surround sound, and maybe even a DVD-RW. All this, and I plan on doin a little Flying in LOMAC as well as shooting up the VIP in AAO...can't wait. Can ya post you knowledge? <C> Fates

Actually MJ did the Stang a while back when a new skin was released for IL2...so I should have picked a different plane. However, I'm more then happy to entertain any screenshot sent to me. I'd love to do more with FS2k4, IL-2 AEP, LOMAC, anything....just send me the best screenshot ya can...it could be the next calendar. <C> Fates
