You hit the nail on the head Jules. He is comfortable with the way the sim is. As much as we think he might need to move forward for lack of a better phrase, he likes it the way it is. Nothing wrong with that, we all have our comfort zones. This sim is his comfort zone. We can speculate all we want but in the end he has always done what he wants to do. Can't please everyone.

The 3rdWire is awesome and so much eaiser to use than the 3rd party ones. Now that I know how to use it, there is nothing I cant do with it. I have even set up A2A refuel training.

Well to get around that he has the texture artist sign an agreement saying that he will not get paid and will not ask for money and get it notortized. I did that with Alphasim when I painted their F-8 for their Vietnam add on for CF2. Its not complicated. That is what always had bothered me about TK. We for lack for a better phrase need each other to a point. He makes the sim, we all like it and hey its moddable. We make mods and it gets people interested in the series, he keeps making more sims, with more and more features etc, we continue to support him. IMHO this works out great because I have had a blast with his series for 10 years. Anyway I know lots of us are willing to help TK if he wants it. We would be glad to give back to the person who has given us great enjoyment over the years. Now we do give back with our money but I am sure we can help him and not let money become an issue for anyone helping him on a volunteer basis. I for one would be glad to help him anyway I can and not ask a dime in return. That's just me. Yeah I know I get on my tangents now again about the series, but that is frustration talking when somethings go wrong. We all are guilty of that. I just do it more than others. That end result makes me responsible for DanW not posting here anymore. I'm long on mouth short on brains.

He cant afford to hire a texture artist? I can name about 10 here who would do it for free.

I still have the Nvidia GXT 570. The Triplehead2Go plugs into the video card. Then it does what it does and wham I get uber wide screen. Anyway back to your original question I had to reduce the FSAA from 32 to 8. There is a little FPS drop when I first get into the cockpit view but that goes away really quick. I am going to set up a really intense mission to see if having lots of planes in the air effects it. I'll report back soon with the results. I will say this, this was a major pain in the ass to get set up. Took about 4 days total. I have 90% of all my games working. A few more still have issues, but I'll get them sorted.

Let me explain this to you all. With a Triplehead2go, and Track IR, I dont need padlock and its a whole new way of flying. Its like you have head bob AND when you fling your fighter around the sky while turning your head with 3 monitors, your stomach actually jumps as if you are really doing the real thing. Made me a little airsick. It rocks.
