OMG those are funny as hell though. I love flight sim extremist who just cry for over the top realism. I mean if a sim doesn't work like it should, people got something to gripe about. I mean who wants a sim that crashes all the time etc. No one. Then you got the "OMG the horse power of this aircraft is off by 10! and the angle of the nose is wrong because it doesn't have enough rivets." people and they just kill a sim. Our hobby is so subjective, I mean no 2 sources are alike. I can actually give a damn if a landing gear shock strut is the correct shape. As long as its close, who cares. I am dogfighting in this plane, or moving mud, the shape of landing gear door that is off by a few inches, isn't going to effect gameplay.
You got people like Bard, Stiglr etc, who may mean well but have no clue how to present an idea without pissing people off in the process. Then they are the same people who when you counter their argument, always say you are wrong. There is no middle ground with them. I have always found it odd that the naysayers are such a tiny tiny tiny group and think that the 95% of people who like a sim, are just clueless. How does that work? Also they are the ones who have flew the sim for about 15 mins, or do not even own, said sim, yet have the biggest gripes about it. How does that work too? We all want a good sim to fly, but to go round and round and round over why my sim is better, is pointless. I used to like IL-2 series, but just can't seem to get into it anymore. There are some that just worship it, good for them, have fun. I knew guys who loved SDOE, I hated it. I never went to their boards and trolled them about it. To each his own.
