    PLAY BALL!

NOW! IT'S OPENING DAY! After a great playing of the Nation Anthem by the Boston Pops, a flyby preformed by the 104th Fighter Wing out of Barnes, first pitch my Senator Kennedy, the Red Sox are playing the Rays!
  2. Is it the .dll perhaps? I've noticed in my installs that they suddenly stop working sometimes. Perhaps replace it with one from another install? Did this just suddenly and randomly happen? Actually...which patch are you running that install at? Just a random guess, but perhaps the Vipers and AUP aren't set up to use the avionics70.dll that your using. In other words, their avionics files are pre or post patch and you have pre patch in post patch or post patch environments. Just some possible reasons...?
  3. Thanks ST0RM. Would these Hornets have been trapped out in the mid 1990s though? I've seen a picture a of VFC-12 F/A-18B landing on carriers though. I know they aren't NSAWC, but are the VFC-12 Hornets kept at a higher rate of flight status then? Or are they just using younger models? What about the USAF Vipers? Would they be old Block 30/32s then as well? Or would they be F-16As? You'll likely find out later this week what all this fuss is about. Also, now that you've mentioned the F/A-18A+, that's what TMF's F/A-18A is right? I really am full of questions.

    PLAY BALL!

    Except Boston got rained out!
  5. Thanks dwcace! Jug: That really, really is a small world.
  6. This has given me the idea to make my own campaign in Dhimar/Paran with Aggressors, but the story is much different so nothing to worry about. If I run into any problems, mind if I come to you for questions, Ultramax?
  7. Looks good! I still can't believe they strapped Sidewinders on Nimrods though.
  8. While I would certainly love to register there, I'd feel out of place among all the legendary Tomcat pilots and Tomcat know-it-alls.
  9. Thanks Stormtrooper! That clears me for one idea. Now, if there was some info on if the USN aggressors could deploy...
  10. I'm guessing the answer is no but, are US Aggressor squadrons deployable to another country? I know they wouldn't take part in combat operations or fly from carriers. What about aircraft from NSAWC? Or, do they just stay at Fallon. I can't find anything online that answers this, but I thought some of you in the military would know. Also, I've seen pictures of VFA-146 and VFA-97 F/A-18s with camo schemes similar to those of some NSAWC aircraft. Any specific story behind those?
  11. Don't make any very sudden manuevers either. I was on fire in an F/A-18 and I pulled all the way back on the stick and BOOM! Lieutenant Commander Ace Pilot is KIA. Make gentile turns...if you still have control surfaces
  12. On there for five minutes and Hoser's stuff is already giving me a good laugh!
  13. I'm starting to notice Chargers are replacing the Crown Vic.
  14. What is this Aero Elite I've heard so much about? In Over-G you can land, either for the hell of it or for fuel or weapons...it's also a great way to get a missile off you with the autoland feature! And landing on the carrier is challenging. Especially when your Tomcat has TF-30s. And getting a Three Wire....that is hard. I've put more Tomcats and Hornets into the back of the carrier or overshot in Over-G than I can count. In the end, it's all worth it. After you do the carrier landing training mission you unlock an F/A-18B (TF-18A ingame) Like Caesar said as well. I'd recommend it. Buy or rent.
  15. A couple of years ago....actually, more like five or six, I had just become obsessed with aviation. Was watching AMC and this was on. As soon as I saw the Kfirs posing as MiG-23s I turned the TV off. My dad just looked at me and I said, "Even I know aviation better than Hollywood." Then came TOP GUN.....
  16. You mean like how on the WWII maps there are static fighters and bombers? Hm...how hard would it be to make low poly versions of Veltro's jetliners for this task? Or, are they already low poly? I like the idea. Seems to be several civilian ideas for the series going around.
  17. Alright, Tomcat Bye-Bye, Baby! did a number on me so now I need to know. What are the best books about the F-14? I really have no specific thing I'm looking for. I'll read a book on it whether it be the history or the combat service or about the Persian Cats....or a NATOPS manuel. So, what are the best books about the Cat? I'm hoping to get some replies to this. I have April/Spring vacation in two weeks and I'll need some books to read to keep me occupied. I'm sure other members wouldn't mind having names of more Tomcat books either, so they could pick them up.

    Three books....

That's great. I'm reading Tomcat right now. It really is interesting. BTW, ST0RM, I saw some of your photos on a site about the 102nd FW. Nice shots!
  20. False. My selection is very....select The person below me has been Rick Roll'd many times.
  21. What is that? Why is it required?
  22. Viggen

    Three books....

I've picked up these three books since January. F-15 Eagle Engaged, Smoke Trails, and Grumman F-14 Tomcat Bye - Bye, Baby...! Anyone have any of these books? And are they any good?
  23. Over G was more realilistic than HAWX or Ace Combat. But beware: buggy, bad graphics, and you will get shot down A LOT.
  24. C5, that's scary. Mine is whatever the school offers.
