I loved Mission Space when I visited Epcot. Trouble was I could have stayed in it all day with that G-force, it was awesome. Next time I visit FL I must give the Soarin' ride a go. Hope it's still there in a couple of years.

I rather liked the pilots swan dive after bailing out in CFS3 ! But I do agree it's only eye candy after all. What you really want is a system whereby if you get shot down and have to eject in your sim then you get a rather short but sharp electric shock through your chair. It would encourage more careful flying and you'd treat the defences with a bit more respect, lol.

It's not only confined to the USAF either, or any military for that matter. I'm really proud to be a Brit but the state this country is in at the moment due to various "issues" (hey I won't get political, promise) make me sick, to be blunt. The way our armed forces are treat too looks like a joke. The world is being run by do-gooders and the PC brigade. It stinks. Damn it, I was born at least 40 years too late. Now if I was Prime Minister...let me tell you... Anyway, rant over. USAFMTL you have my sympathies, can't be easy having to turn your back on what has effectively been your whole way of life. I just watched a great documentary on reindeer herding in Finland, no disrespect to any Fins out there but my God, it looked a great way of life. Nice and simple, not easy by any standards but nice and simple !

I think a Nightfighter sim is kind of the missing link for flightsims. Imagine having a dedicated nightfighter simulator where different marks of AI were modelled, having to train on the early stuff in 1940 in Blenheims before progressing to the Beaufighter and ultimately the Mosquito. Having to learn how to read and interpret the cathode ray tubes, all the interference and ground echoes prevalent in the early models. Having instructions for an intercept passed up from a GC and then guiding your virtual pilot (you!) in for the kill. Also having the option for the German stuff too, flogging your heavily laden Bf110 up to 20000ft to catch the bomber stream. Now that I would gladly pay for ! Developers take note ! Crikey, I'd even open my bedroom window in winter and sit with my feet in a bucket of cold water whilst at the PC just to add to the realism

Must have taken a leaf out of "Cats-eyes" Cunningham's book and taken a secret stash of carrots up with them, lol

You could try lowering the quality of the cockpit graphics ?

Roll rates don't seem so fast. Especially with the older types like the Mystere. The new shadow settings are great, now no FPS hit at all on medium for me. Cool rear view too.

If only we had an an engine spool up and run down sound too... Some guru may figure it out but it's not in my Thuktun...figure that out!

Nothing so exotic I'm afraid. It's there at the request of a friend, it's the club badge for Hull City football club "The Tigers". I don't like soccer but they are apparently doing well this season so I'm showing my support. Personally I'd rather have my Spad back but I've agreed to keep the Tiger til the end of the football season! Costs me an arm and a leg to feed...not literally though I hope!

Seems a lot of aircraft from that era were a little cranky looking. Still, I like the Wyvern. The Gannet too, very peculiar with it's two-engines and one prop! Both types do have a certain charm though.

Hi and welcome to the CA forums grant977! As coolhand says, you may have to jink a little to get that all elusive lock and just be persistant. Don't become target fixated like me and end up going after someone too doggedly only to get blown out of the sky by not watching my six. On a personal note (no pun intended) the IR tone in WoI is perfectly clear to me when I get lock on.

sssh, don't tell the Spads! Really though, I do luurve the Typhoon. Almost as much as the Skyraider. Think of it this way, The Typhoon is George Clooney, easy on the eye and to die for...but what a gal needs in a scrape is a Ray Winstone, rough, tough and wahey!! Bet Ray's never been compared to a Spad!
