Proper mods take a severe toll in my laptop, so these are ini edits to provide a cockpit and make stock aircraft flyable using only stock resources. That being said, there are much better mods that are much closer to the real thing, i only provide this in case normal mods cause performance issues in your install You will need SF2 (the basic, desert one) since this uses both A-4B and F-100D elements (the manual says SF2V doesn't include A-4Bs, and the compressed files seem to agree, i can't tell since i'm on the complete edition) It should just drop in the mods folder and ask you to overwrite a couple of things, if you have any issue with the fix just tell me.

That being said, there are much better mods that are much closer to the real thing, i only provide this in case normal mods cause performance issues in your install These are a few edits to make DLC28 and stock Starfighters flyable Basically, i used stock Crusader cockpits and tweaked them a little bit to serve as placeholders, so you will need SF2V, and to already have the aircraft themselves either (or both) from SF2E and DLC28 F-104As are a basic F-8C cockpit with an F-4E gunsight Most others (F-104C, F-104C(61), F-104G, CF104 and CF104(72)) are the same plus a ground search radar And F-104C (66) and CF104(76) add an audio only RWR If any issue arises, please tell me, will try to fix ASAP. 4. One like is all it took, got some
  5. I wish you luck. My sister was at the frontline too and she was miserable for several weeks after killing the bug off, while she is 26, the thing is people take time but usually get to recover fully, i hope you can do too.
  6. I got a fairly decent laptop recently, able to play modern stuff, but still i get issues with FPS in the game when i have mods in, specially those which take more space. Looks like it is due to using Win 10 with the Win 7 generation. So either i run very few mods, and have parts of the game contrast heavily with one another in the game, or i keep close to none. So what i do on my install is to make certain "mods" that are mostly nothing but ini edits and reused stock stuff to get some slight improvements in the game while keeping the mod folder as light as possible. Examples of this include an expanded campaing in Iceland or Mirage cockpits adapted to make DLC 28 Mirages flyable, but i have several others in use in my install. So what i was wondering is if anybody was interested in "fixes" like that in order to get them more or less polished and shared here
  7. So she duct tapes chainmail and dives to help sharks by getting her hand in their mouth and pull out fishing hooks, and pet them. And then they tell other sharks to come looking for mommy for help and petting. And i felt pretty badass when i managed to flush the toilet after Christmans eve.
  8. If you ever feel useless, remember that F-84F escorting a B-52D
  9. Well, we will say you died with your boots on. And nothing but the boots. If you had been there at the time or the lazercats and electric eels, this was the shitpost community before it was cool. The other guys drop the tanks as soon as they engage by default, even if it is a heavy on BVR. Let them bitch, chances are they will have to row the way home anyways after they decide to not fire their missiles and duel Soviet bomber tail-gunners.
  10. Now that you mentioned, my new rig is fairly decent but i just got quite low FPS in a campaign with SAMs, bad weather and a lot of aircraft in the air
  11. It gave me "Overlord" vibes, which to me was dumb and awesome fun.
  12. I have Win 10 and i'm running the Complete Edition without any issue, what is it that has to be updated exactly?
  13. Thanks a lot, that group looks great.
  14. I was trying to find out if RAAF Mirages were given some sort of RWR at any point in their service life, can anybody tell me anything on the issue or point me to some sources about it?

That being said, there are much better mods that are much closer to the real thing, i only provide this in case normal mods cause performance issues in your install These are a few files to make DLC28 LARAF and EAF Mirages flyable Requires SF2I and Mirage3EL DLC, as it uses Nesher and Mirage3EL cockpits I just added dtmdragon's sight fixes for Nesher and Mirage3Os, and audio RWR. There are more juicy mods around, but if you like keeping it down to a few INI fixes, this does the trick. Just drop contents in your SF2 mod folder and everything should go where it has to. If something goes wrong, blame me and me alone, and please send a PM with the issue, will fix ASAP. Can't promise anything since I've become a mature and dependable professional and I'm supposed to be busy all day, but tell me anyway. Submitter macelena Submitted 12/24/2020 Category Jet Cockpits

  17. I think i have to work on those carrier landings a bit, i got somewhat rusty
  18. It only took a look at the old pics from that time that we kept around in the company to realize how nuts it was for the old timers.
  19. Besides being more modern, it is meant to be somewhere between a C-130 and a C-17. I talked to my Sgt, who is still in the unit, and they are loving it compared to the C-130.
  20. Couldn't find a link in English, but basically, they all got replaced by A-400Ms. I've seen them both fly past quite lately since i got stationed near Zaragoza AB, but to be honest, it makes you feel old knowing the aircraft you used to jump from are museum-worthy stuff now.
  21. Yes, i got kicked out of the unit after i messed up my collarbone a bit, but got back on track and I'm back on NCO/WO training as an Electronics Specialist (it is going to be hard). I could still get a slot back in the unit once i graduate and get back to jumping, but i would be mostly in charge of a maintenance workshop fixing radios, NVGs and stuff. That Herc is looking great, still my greatest real life Hate-Love affair with aviation. Kind of nostalgic having them replaced with A-400Ms. I might PM you about the F-4J_74 by the way, I made a Northern Sabre campaign back in the day just to play with them. While i didn't include the mod in the pack itself, i had a couple of edits done wich might be interesting.
  22. After a few years in which i have been kind of busy, having now put my life in order (more or less) i can spend more time on the hobby, which i've been missing. So hi to all the Old Guard, and nice to see all the new ones. What's new on the game? I had presumed it more or less dead, but after getting the complete edition, i saw there is an update expected for Win 10. Anything on what is planned or expected?
  23. Hello everyone, i haven't posted here for a couple of years, being busy with real life issues, but stayed in contact with a few of us and just came to say hi. We are in lockdown in Spain, i was in the Army Logistics Academy converting after promotion (from Infantry to Electronics, feels like a monkey training to become an astronaut) and they basiclly told of to F back home and carry on with the subjects online. It is kind of frustrating since we just got certified back in Law Enforcement and NBQ and could be out with some units wich were deployed providing support. Family is Ok, but my sister works as a therapist in a nursing home and has lost several patients to Covid-19. She was quite attached to them, and it is taking its toll, i'm concerned she might get old-sergeant syndrome as this crap goes by. Just wish you all the best, take any lockdown or quarantine measures seriously, it sucks but you get used to it. Don't give it any chances, it is far more serious than any flu and it is quite a cruel way to die.
