  1. Hi, I've just got back to SF series after many years and will have to relearn everything. So I went and start a new campaign, any campaign, the game crash if I choose 'non' for service markings, is this a known problem? I've narrowed it down through trial and error, keeping other settings the same it seems like this one crash the game every time at the campaign name stage. Is there a way to fix it? I've patched it to 2013 patch and using Win7 64bit
  2. Can someone give me a step by step guide on how to export 3ds max for SF2? The plugin is loaded and show green in the plugin manager but i don't see .lod file type option in File-Export
  3. Hi, is it just me? but I vaguely remembered that in SF1 when I drop bombs there's a thud sound for each bomb, my SF2 games doesn't have this. I've reinstalled it 3 times now but still no thud sound, maybe I need to delete everything in the saved game folder? only had SF2 for a few days, contemplating getting the expansion packs for the MiG-15 but this sound thing bugs me.
  4. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ok thanks. That'll explain the vague memory bit.
  5. US tanker contract annoucement this week

Smaller than a 767? how big is a 777 or a 787? Smaller wouldn't be as capable as KC135 in tanking though, right? What is the Air Force requirement anyway?
  6. I know they probably did tests and stuff already but electromagnets to be used with fly by wire aircraft with microcircuits?
  7. US tanker contract annoucement this week

I hope Boeing wins, don't even know what airframe its basing it on but I hope its the 767. I like 767s. Off topic, can anyone point me to a place where I can read the reasoning for buying the Lakota please. I fail to understand why the Army is buying into another airframe, what benefits versus increased maintenance can it provide?
  8. USS Kitty Hawk for the Indian Navy?

Under all that scaffold is probably a fine ship, I wish I could suggest they buy off the extreamly active thai carrier but I don't think it can handle anything except helo, Harriers and JSF. The US could give the Kitty Hawk to JMSDF hahaha undo the balance of power there a bit if the Japanese constitution allows for it.
  9. Anyone for an Air Force conspiracy? Staging F-15 aircraft collision and structural failurs to get congress to allow more funding for F-22 to replace them. paranoia is bliss
  10. When I first read the news I thought it was a SM-2 Block III hahaha, but yeah go Navy.
  11. Marines increasing in size? WOW YEAH go Marines I think the UH-1Y and AH-1Z looks pretty ugly though but if it works who cares.
  12. Top Gun and flight of teh Intruder was good as well as By Dawn's Early Light but I really liked HotShot above them all.
  13. Another F-15 crash...

My mistake then, thought I read somewhere some E-3 have provision for a rotary mount for sidewinders between one of the inboard engine and the fuselarge but I guess not. But I'm dead serious about the armed Cessna 172
  14. Another F-15 crash...

can't they already load sidewinders on AWACS? No need for AMRAAM on th C17 maybe missiles on cessna 172 though with a surplus M60 machinegun and a box of matches and iron filings for counter measure and don't forget the hand portable GPS for precision weapon delivery. what a money saver.
  15. Hi I'm seeking clarification about MER and TER the .ini list the attachment points and I assume the rack drop weapons in order of point 1 then 2 then 3. Can I change the sequence of the weapons being drop by simply changing the order the points are arranged? The order I want to change the racks to is something like this. MER 4 2 6 5 1 3 TER 3 1 2
  16. F-35 or Gripen in Denmark

Also under the right circumstance an AMRAAM can hit a straight and level 747, but thats just me being silly. Thailand also consider buyng 6 Gripens, for supposedly training -_-' anyone care to comment of the usefulness of 6 gripens? they're supposed to be for training their imaginary Gripen squadrons, which I doubt they'll buy. (its totally political/corumption motivated buy) The imaginary Gripen squadrons are to replace F-5s in their airforce. Seems to me once their pilots are qualified to fly Gripens they wouldn't have a Gripen to fly, except the ones for training.
  17. F-35 or Gripen in Denmark

haha I don't like hearing stuff like "under the right circumstance" or "with the right loadout" because under the right circumstance a fly or a man armed with bow and arrows can take down an F-22.
  18. U.S., India Ink Airlifter Accord

Better yet, sell off all your planes all your tanks, keep some rubber boats. All you need thesedays are ak, RPK, PRD, .50, lots of RPG and explosives, some MANPAD and alot of martyrs.
  19. F-35 or Gripen in Denmark

way I see it is in 20 years time F-22 will still be competitive while even F-15E gonna have problems, new weapons new SAMs new radar, if they can hit an F-22, they can hit F-15s even better. But then I don't like airforce aircraft anyway give me an A-4 skyhawk anyday.
  20. Portuguese F-16 crashes

The ejection seat must be as old as the aircraft and it probably haven't been upgraded like the aircraft and it still works. What generation of ejection seat are on on thesedays? The pilot survives adn thats what matters most. Would this mean that since the test flight resulted in an accdent they'll be reevaluating the upgrade program?
  21. It'll just be Yoryu doesn't sound that menacing I prefer Crimson's sugestion "Kageryu" more. How about whisker dragon? hahaha Hiryu Kuryu, dark/black dragon?
  22. 777 crashes at Heathrow

Conspiracy theory? What if it was Brown who staged it so he wouldn't have to go to China and pop by his mistress's crib instead. Personally I'm convinced its rats, rats and more rats chewing on the wires.
  23. Australia goes with Fullbacks?

how much easier would it be for China to steal W-88 if it was exported. Just curious, does anyone know when Australia is going to make the decision?
