  1. Ah, a SAC trained killer! TAC was the only command I served in my 14 fun-filled years. If I could make out the tail number better, I could let you know if I worked on that particular beast before it shipped off to Cannon. It almost looks like 124, an "E" model we had at the 431 TES, but it really gets pixelated in the tail section, for some reason...
  2. Hi-yo! I have recently heard in a thread something about a Timor terrain? I must've missed it, as it seems some time ago. Search lead to little, just references. There was this one cool old simulation featuring AV-8B Harriers called, IIRC, AV-8B Harriers. It was based on a carrier to start, off of East Timor. The first 1/3 was cool, but when you got past that, you got raped. I would love to relive that game, without the rapeage. Anyone know where that terrain/campaign can be had?
  3. You, of course mean Maj. `King' Kong, just shortly before his demise...
  4. Very nicely done. 2 MiG-29s downed, with the 2nd being all in your biscuits. That DivX allows a good resolution as well. Nice!
  5. Fired this bad-boy up this morning before heading into work. The thread is very aptly titled. It surely can scoot along well, but doesn't drop like a brick on approach and landing. Absolutely amazing FM. Would love to see it's like on the F-111F. Fast as hell, but able to land well.
  6. That is what was mentioned concerning the Skunkworks site, it is password protected. You need to shoot Capun an email to gain access. Off I go to get it! >Scamper<
  7. Sierra Hotel upgrade! I am nor seriously digging the RADAR! The range cues are righteous, and the returns are solid. We need an above and beyond medal `round here!
  8. Do actual controls work? Or do you have to think in Russian? Lookin' good man!
  9. Well, there was something really LARGE in the way! No, really, I see it on the screen, it expands out from 5 - 80 miles, but I get no return of items within that forward sector known to be there. I just thought their wasn't supposed to be RADAR, so now I know I am blowing it somewhere. I admit to not having fired any of these sims up in a couple of months, and have a different stick, and the dog ate it and stuff. No wucking furries, I'll get it fingered out, if I ever get back to my game system. Tougher to do anymore...
  10. As a mud-mover, is it supposed to be without air RADAR? Or did I mess something up?

    EE2?

Been flying the UK version, and do like it. The lack of communication, especially concerning bugs, is disconcerting, to say the least. I hope to hear something, ANYTHING, from the developers soon...
  12. The guy is just ballistic! A human inside woulda puked out inside of 30 seconds...

  14. That and they talk so darned much, they rarely build up enough back pressure to get a good rip goin'...
  15. Well, get back with us when you have a few hours, I am sure it will take a while to type out...
  16. Back when I was a USAF 1 striper, I needed to find an aircraft to wrench on for upgrade training. I was at a unique squadron known as Det 40 STAMP/STRAAP on an AFLC base. Weapons equipped aircraft were in short supply. The Texas ANG had some F-pig-4's, and I started my 3 level training on them, but was told from the get-go, they may be moving to another base. 3 months later they did. Good riddance. I still have scars from the cuts those low slung, antennae wielding suckers had. Needed 3 more months, and one day, a dark angel fell from the sky. It was an AC-130 Spectre from Hurlburt field in Florida there on a 3 month TDY. I taxied the barrel chested beauty in for it's 1st landing, and immediately hit it off with the crew. Finished my 3 level on the left hand turning, toothpick making beast. Even got the nose art tattoo on my right arm. Been using the nick since `bout 1982 or so, and will definitely turn when Spectre is shouted...
  17. My CH Combat Suite, as featured in June's Virtual Pilot column in Flight Journal. It does not show the CH Pedals below, but I trade this and the Saitek rig out periodically, depending on what I'm flying. Choices are good! ***Mods please note, this is a picture I took, for the magazine, who is hosting it.***
  18. All weather aircraft, but a fair weather pilot?
  19. So, what's this I hear about a DS1 terrain/campaign, eh?
  20. So, is it done yet? Sorry to hear about the fellow Weapons Sargent, he had some awesome stuff in the works. PCS, USAFMTL? Man, I hope she isn't too far away...
  21. There's beer in those pics? All I see are leggy blonds...
  22. Very cool! I have a;ways wanted to visit that place, but fortune has yet to smile when I try to make it. Did you happen to see "my" Me-262? Well, I lent a hand on the rascal parked there, way back at my 1st base in San Antonio. I love the OV-10, it even has the weapons placard scribbled upon. Wore down many a grease pencil doing that...
  23. Hung over former Zoomie here. Ouch! Must you talk so loudly?
  24. I'd highly recommend getting a "real" video card, as that looks to be a shared type as part of the motherboard. You can usually pick one up with twice the RAM for $30 - 50, and not have your system RAM utilized. It is well worth the investment.
