  1. Good question! Stary? If it's not a secret ofcourse :)
  2. It will work either way, like all terrains anyway ;)
  3. Ahh yes I knew my eyes are addicted to high res textures :) Great work man...
  4. Stary my friend, that looks VERY interesting :)
  5. Yes with Oct2008 patch all titles could work perfectly fine in Vista and now the funny stuff, a major feature of Vista aka DX10 is not fully supported because TK thinks not many people would use it - funny eh? Anyway I do think new features, models, cockpits and other stuff are super great, but marketing theese games as Vista editions is a complete miss IMO
  6. Yes E3 had wing cannons mgFF, my mistake. I'm more into F-K period after nearly complete re-design...
  7. No, Emils had either 4xmg17(E1 and E3) or 2xmg17+2xmgFF(20mm)(E4 and E7)
  8. Yeah you can make that with TW's GunEditor if I'm not mistaken. :) However, on a historical/accuracy note, the Ju87G carried AP(armour piercing) ammo, as it was esentially a tank buster, the(for me) insanity was the tactics as the shells could only penetrate the armour if the tank was hit from behind and in the engine. *** An interesting thing is that the most decorated man in whole German military in WW2 was a legendary "Stuka" pilot, Hans Ulrich-Rudel, that guy wasted what would today be a respectable army on his own lol and to that he even managed 9 aerial kills. The super interesting trivia is that allegedly Rudel even helped the A-10 designers with his input! There I hope I didn't bore anybody to death with this lol
  9. There my friend, now you can I hope understand my frustrations when I found out the HUD's are not working and there is no intrest from the dev. to make them working...not even in "two weeks" I'm completely comfortable of waiting for ;) As for backups I hold everything on a HDD that's in my USB external case, works like a charm, it's quick, dirt cheap and quite reliable :)
  10. Sabre's, it does not matter how you call them they are still awsome :)
  11. Well something died on my computer, now I'm on my ancient AXP NF2 and GF6800 unbelievable, can any electronics built today last atleast through the warranty period - I guess not. Today I ate some rice, peas and meat, was quite tastefull but now I have super strong gases - seriously, a bit stronger and I could practice my VTOL capatibilites... Other than that it's very HOT here, highly unusual for May, I guess that's why there are no squirrels to be seen lately...
  12. For future reference: Correct order of installing GH2 AND my hi-res tiles into SF2V is: 1.)install my tileset 2.)install Stary's Green Hell2 mod 3.)apply Column5's fix That's all there is to it :)
  13. Very, VERY cool - Korea is the (only)way to go for me with SF2 series for now so this is just awsome :)
  14. Well with certain option I have a 100% increase of performance with the new series, and this improvement alone is more than enough for me to forget about the old series... We have similar priorities but probably different hardware...
  15. Same here, while I'm alos interested in StarTrek, I know the lines from T1 and T2 backwards! T3 I found awsome too, but T1/2 are pure action SciFi classics for me. The only thing I'll miss in T4 however is the Governer of California hehe
  16. Sure, no problem...I had my share of epic battles with the Terrain Editor lol Won all of them though ;-)
  17. You need to load the pallete for it when you convert it to Index and ofcourse save it as 8-bit... I'm attaching the pallete, however you can save it once you open the original image before you start working on it but this shoud be easier for now
  18. A true story of an KA-6D crew: http://www.gallagher.com/ejection_seat/
  19. They are just blurred and lightened a bit nothing else, but when you throw a nice shader effect over it to sharpen it up a bit via bump mapping, it gives an overall better image. Nothing very special really but it's nice to see terrain is on TK's mind, bit by bit and one day we might see something more :)
  20. Yes but it can be made to work with a simple ini edit, so far I managed to make everything work with new shaders, except the HUD's. In all cases the solution was to assign a shader effect(*.FX files) to the material and it worked flawlessly... I hope TK will support this as performance gains for those with good DX10 cards like me are gigantic!!! Using "UseAdvancedShaders=1" I came from for me unplayable below 25fps to rock solid and super-smooth 50fps+, now if he would just fix the HUD issue, when asked for arguments for buying the new series he could add "a 100%+ performance improvement for those with good DX10 cards." Now that is one hell of a rock solid argument if you ask me, I consider that alone enough to completely abandon the old series and go full throtthle on SF2 series :)

    HR 45

Apsolutely true! Like I said I can't own a gun legally here, but just two days ago a bank was robbed and the robber had a freakin AK-47!!!!!
  22. Well I don't see anything so flammable here lol Anyway, what you said is true plus I'm quite certain the S and MS had the mig-21 like cockpit, now the only thing I'm not so sure about is the 23M cockpit, I could swear I saw a picture of it without the "radar-on-hud" but...it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong lol... Anyway for major MiG-23 variants: S - basically preproduction model(S stands for Sapphir radar from MiG-21 btw.) M - first mass produced MF - significantly crippled "M" exported to Warsav Pact countries ONLY MS - insanely crippled "M" intended for export to non-WP countries(Arabs,Africa etc..., notice the "S") P - interceptor version ML - massive avionics updates, engine updates, reduced weight and improved airframe MLD - further improved avionics, airframe and engine, a true killer Flogger even wired for R-73 and R-27 I have little to no knowledge of B/BN/BM or MiG-27's
