  4. As far as terrain options I would even be hillariously happy with 10+ years old il-2 terrain system instead of this....*#$%!

  6. Don't know man, it's one of the smoothest rides here... Now skins are rather big but I have ridiculous ammount of memory so I might not feel it. If I had any problems with it I would first try to downsize the skins, this was a real problem solver when I had only 1GB of RAM...

For ALT+N addicts like me: When you prepare for quick mission, enter the MAP menu and simply adjust the last waypoint before the objective(or in simpler and probably more correct words, move the one that is shaped as a square) that way ALT+N can bring you 100-200km away from the enemy so you can prepare better for the fight without having to fly all the way...
  8. Well everything I've ever read about F-104 was that it was designed as a very low drag airframe around a powerfull engine... All accounts mention tremendous acceleration also... Now on this page: http://airforce-world.blogspot.com/2006/10...tarfighter.html it says CD0(Zero-lift drag coefficient) was 0.0172 Now when I look at TK's 104G CD0 is 0.0253 and that's for fuselage alone although other parts in TK's data.ini do not have high CD0 values, all together they are 0.0312 which is not very far from twice the drag of the real thing... Ofcourse the data on the link above does not provide much authority and it's quite possible if not even probable that TK has better data, however...it's worthy of investigation for F-104 fans ;-)
  9. Well that's easy to solve...either adjust the thrust of the engine or adjust drag(CD0).. I usually go for the drag as engines have quite correct thrust values on stock planes as far as I saw...

  12. Yeah but that's because my CPU is calculating stuff like shadows and reflections while my 1 TeraFLOPS capable gfx card is jacking off lol
  13. AI's missiles do not obey same rules as players, keep that in mind, I experimented A LOT with it. My Russian missiles are not dead weight, vanilla R-27 is about as good as 7F while later versions(mainly 27ER) I've set up on par with 7M as they really were upgraded a lot. Also no Russian Alamo was ever fired in anger IIRC, downgraded export versions were so comments about that are dubious at best same as about the planes as that is the Russian export policy. However all that is futile anyway when AI can fly more or less strait poping decoys I call "Burning B-52's Mk1" and easily fool the same missile I can't avoid doing 12-14G manouver trailing a wall of decoys. All in all Blackbirds advice is the best and in my install valid for all planes, as soon as you get tracking sound from your RWR, dive to the deck wait for it, pop out, fire your stuff and run like there's no tommorow ;)
  14. I voted AI, but actually I think very few if any would be happier with better/more terrain building options... However I don't believe that will happen anytime soon if at all :(

  20. Try this: Dates are reasearched as is everything that's researchable, however do note that this is for Wingwinner's AIM-120C model...change type and model name if you plan to use it on other models...
  21. If you are patched to latest patch old weapons will not work! You have two options: 1.) Download new weapon editor and run all weapons through it. 2.) Find one of the newer packs in the DL section that will work out of the box.
  22. I tried the demo too... Now, I hope I missed something somewhere but first, there's no cockpit, it switches on when I'm below certain altitude but the creen goes mad and there's nothing too see outside except insanely vibrant RGB colours... Furthermore, with assistance off mode, the camera switches to 3rd person view?!?!?!? I hope that demo release was some kind of mistake because what I saw is not even a good arcade...
