Swing-Wing Saturday (Caturday?)
Gepard replied to kblomkvist's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Screen Shots

View File L-410UVP-T L-410UVP-T Turbolet ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History The czech made L-410UVP light passenger and transport plane was developed to replace the old AN-2 biplanes. After a first version, called L-410A, the soviet Aeroflot airline demanded some changes, including better short take off capabilities. So the version L-410UVP was developed and widely exported in the COMECON states. The east german air force LSK, purchased 10 planes in 1980. They used it as training airplane for tranport pilots and navigators and for transport tasks. Parachute missions were made with the subversion L-410UVP-T (t- stands for Transport). VIP transport was made with subversion L-410UVP-S (s stands for Salon). Both versions were easy to discriminate. The T version had a black rubber plate behind the side door. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Recon mission over the Port of Dover The Flak fire was heavy. Suddenly my fighter escorts cried for help. They were ambushed by countless enemy fighters. Spitfires and Hurricanes. A lot of them. The Messerschmitts fought for their live. I decided to engage the enemy, to show them how superb a He-100D4 is. Kill one: Splash two: At the end of the day my wingman and i shot down 17 Tommy fighters. What a wonderfull day! -

Operation Seelöwe
Gepard replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
I would like to place more cityblocks to the City of London, but i fear, that more than the approx.2.500, which i have already placed, could harm the fps rate to much. The cityblocks cover an area between Towerbridge in the east to Kensigton Palace in the west. From Victoria Station in the south and Kingscross Station in the north of London. -

Misplaced objects
Gepard replied to jack33's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The answer is no. the tiles have no influence. That objects are at the wrong position on a runway can be caused by including a second runway in the target area. -

The cityblocks are so bright only in sun. When in shadow they looks so: The roofs match more or less with the color of the tiles. Maybe i should make the cityblocks all of brickstone color. -

Gepard replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Some years earlier the CIA tried to "buy" an east german pilot to fly a MiG-21F-13 into the west. The americans faild to do the job, their agents were catched by east german antispionage. The Mossad made a better job. -

YE -152M
Gepard replied to torno's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Ye-152 had different designations from western intel. It was called Su-17, MiG-23, Ye-166 and Ye-266. It got the NATO code "Flipper". There were 3 differnt versions of this plane. Ye-152A as basic design, Ye-152M with improved radar equipment and Ye-152P with canards. The plane we see in the screenshots are Ye-152P. -

The last "Midway" movie by Roland Emmerich was bullshit to the power of 3. A waste of money and time.
