Now you've metioned it, red vs. blue is very common in human history. But red does not mean you are on the 'bad' side. If you talk about the Russians, Chinese, and Communists in general... they will still think of themselves as Reds because their flags are red. Red is a very important color for the revolution. Red is a happy and auspicious color for Asians. In stock markets in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan. When the stock price is up... it is collored red. Just to add the 'Axis' is not an evil term. It is actually what fascists call their alliances during World War II. Oh didn't you notice that the Nazi and Japanese flags are predominantly red? Italy has some red and no trace of blue. :D USA, UK, France has traces of blue. So it's another case of Blue vs. Red... except for the the Russians that are Red and part of the Allies.

What type of pods are in this pic?

Baz Superpack! Oh I like the sound of that. -
If the modders start dropping FE1 like a hot potato then FE2 is the way to go. You may not see it now but it will go that way. TW will also not support FE1 anymore and all new patches are for the new series. The SF2 series is the priority platform for modders because of the ease of modding (new folder structure is actually convenient in a modding standpoint) and the little enhancements in graphics and performance. It still does not have the amount of mods like SF1 but the quality is better because of all the little stuff that Thirdwire added under the hood. The SF2 Vietnam Air & Ground War expansion pack is a prime example of a "masterpiece" that surpasses SF1 era mods (in my opinion).

Must be LANTIRN pods http://www.f-16.net/...t_article2.html One is a targeting pod and the other is a navigation pod with FLIR. Here's a clearer pricture. Attachmens on the wingtips might actually be missiles like in this link. http://www.f-16.net/gallery_item42942.html -

F-16 Cockpit
jomni replied to jack33's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I am actually doing this. All my F-16A's use Thirdwire cockpits. Just open the <plane>.ini and point the cockpit to F-16A_Netz_cockpit.ini and the avionics to F-16A_Netz_avionics.ini -
Heavy tweaking needed for the following stuff: HUD avionics Afterburners They added some new lines to take advantage of dx10. Not sure if there are other requirements. Like I know there's some problems with custom terrain (like trees). BTW, NF4+ still going to be upgraded dec09 standards? If not I'll just do some tweeking myself.

F-15 Superpack HUD question

I think it's normal in the game. But don't know if it is that bright in real life. This video does give some green glow at some angles. http://www.liveleak....=8df_1205185501 -

I am also having the same problem in Vista -
Yup I kept the bombers default. B-57 for Dhimar and Tu-16 / 22 for Paran. I'm liking what I see so far. I only have 1 F-16 squadron for Dhimar and 1 MiG-29 super elite Squadron for Paran. I haven't seen these two squadrons in action after 2 missions. Oh there's an Independent Libyan squadron from the default scenario with Mirage 5 that I kept as reinforcements for Paran. All the rest are F-5E's vs. 3 varieties of Mig-23s. F-5's are holding up but it's hard fighting a "sea" of MiG-23's with just two missiles per mission. So far I can only pay mercs (F-5E as default plane). So should I edit Nations.ini to play Dhimar and Paran? For those who love variety, this is not a campaign for you. But I guess the campaign is a fascinating testbed for east vs. west doctrines.

I plan to build my very first simple modification of a SF2 Desert Campaign (probably the latest date). Set in the 90's, the cold war is over. Dhimar and Paran are left to fight their war by themselves. So what would be "realistic" aircraft to use? Dhimar: Dhimar's doctrine is to use small multirole fighters... I'm definitely using the F-5E as it's one of the most exported western jets to 3rd world countries. I'm also fielding 2 squadrons of F-16A. Should I have a dedicated attack plane? Like keep some A-4's from the previous war? Which model? Paran: Paran's organization is just like in the previous wars. They would mostly have Mig-21, Mig-23, Su-17(?). But they will have two squadrons of Mig-29A's. So what specific models of Mig-21 / 23 should I use? Those that are quite modern and exported... As for the ground units... which ones to use? I prefer to pick from stock ground units. Suggestions much appreciated... thanks.
