  1. That is a VERY good looking map. How did you make it? Did you assemble it from bits and pieces, or did you search long and hard to find it?
  2. Yep - just uploaded the new version with the correct G.100 files. CA should release the new files later today. Now you know why I am reconsidering releasing more aircraft - the file stuff is a huge PITA!
  3. View File Martinsyde G.102 The Martinsyde G.102 was a G.100 aircraft with a more powerful 160 hp Beardmore engine, which gave it slightly better performance. Again I could not have produced this upload without the patient help from Stephen1918, ocjar, gterl, and Wrench. Thanks, guys. Submitter Geezer Submitted 11/17/2014 Category Other Entente Aircraft
  4. I forgot to include my acknowledgement for help and support from ocjar (FM), gterl (data), and Wrench (data). Thanks, guys.

  6. View File Final Martinsyde G.100 This is the final update of the Martinsyde G.100, thanks to Stephen1918 who tweaked the files. The bomb racks now only show when the plane is carrying bombs, the prop spins, sample decals have been added for anyone who wants to make his own markings, and revised installation instructions have been added - all due to Stephen1918's efforts. Thanks, Steve. I mistakenly attached the files for the G.102 to this upload - when released by CA, it will now have the correct G.100 files. 8. Lovely.
  9. Agreed. Tomahawks lacked the necessary performance for PRU work. Still, it is a nice paint job.
  10. Those old windscreens went cloudy very fast, so sometimes ground crew would break or cut openings for better gunnery. It took fewer polys to cut a notch in the Halb's windscreen than to "break" it. Shot below shows a drilled hole.
  11. I'm working from the shot below. Its too late to start over, so I'm adding what I can to the existing model.
  12. The final Martinsyde updates should be ready soon, thanks to Stephen1918's assistance. I've also been refining the Halberstadt - see below. On the Martinsyde, I noticed that the area in front of the pilot was rather Spartan so I have been adding more detail to those parts of the Halberstadt that are visible from the cockpit.

  16. Your Verdun map will be a perfect testing ground for some models I have in development. Example below is the Morane-Saulnier Type P. The P was accepted for service by the French air service - to replace the obsolescent Type L/LA - on 31 March, 1916. 565 were built for the French, and it was widely used for recon/arty spotting through the autumn of 1917. The Brits operated 106 P's, plus Russia operated a small number to supplement the 400 plus Type L/LA aircraft used until Russia's surrender.

  20. I'd love to give it a shot! Geezer
  21. Shot below shows some samples being tested. They are MUCH larger than normal ground objects, so the map makers have been asked to test them and see if they work OK.
