Soviet Sounds Readme ================================ 1. this is a bunch of .wav engine files that I had laying around. I tried to match these as closely as possible to the film clip sounds from Soviet fighters on some old Wings episodes I had on VHS. The sounds may not be exact, but they are reasonably close. 2. Try these .wavs for : Fishbed-C = J-7 series, Type 74, Type 76, Type 77, MiG-19, F-6 Fishbed-L = For the advanced MiG-21MF & above, Chinese J-7 III 9 J-7C/D ) Flogger = Flogger Family Frogfoot = Su-15s & Su-25 ( When it's released ) Bear = For Pasko's Tu-95 Sukhoi = Su-7, Su-9, Su-11, Su-17 Beagle = IL-28, H-5 series, MiG-15, MiG-15bis, MiG-17 Family Foxbat = MiG-25 Family Fulcrum = MiG-29 Family Badger = Tu-16s, H-6, Tu-22s 3. TO INSTALL : simply drop the .wav file into your Strike Fighters or WOV Sounds folder, Then in the aircraft data.ini, scroll down to the [sound] section and change to the .wav that you want to use. Expample is for a MiG-15UTI [sound] EngineSoundName=JetEngine < < < CHANGE THIS TO : Beagle AfterburnerSoundName=JetBurner DamagedEngineSound= FlapsSoundName=Flaps AirbrakesSoundName=Airbrakes GearsSound=Gear 4. Hopefully, these will add more spice to your SFP1/WOV experience until such time as a more accurate set of Soviet Sounds is released. Enjoy! ================================== -

F-4E IDF v2.0 Readme ====================== 1. This mods the stock F-4E to the Israeli version used in Yom Kippur War period. 2. NationName is changed to Israel. 3. Chaff/Flares/Jammer added. Note that F-4Es delivered to Israel before the Yom Kippur War did not have countermeasures installed. During the War, replacement F-4Es from US stocks came with their ECM equipment. Some IDF Phantoms were also up- graded during the conflict. 4. Two skins are included, one for US replacements ( which had hasty Star-Of-Davids painted over the US Camo ). This base USAF camo skin is the stock SFP1 skin. The second skin is the Kurnas skin by Jennifer. This skin was one of the first ever done for SFP1 and was only availible at the now defunct Skunkworks site. Jennifer has since moved on, but this skin of hers is included as a tribute to her early contributions to the SFP1 Community, which will not be forgotten. 5. Canopy fix & Hangarscreen by "The Wrench". 6. Thanks to research data graciously provided by MoonJumper, Python issue fixed. 7. AIM-9Didf, Israeli TER, QRC-160-8 ECM Pod, and Loadout.ini by MoonJumper : Add to WEAPONDATA.ini, number in sequence, then save using the SP3 Weapons Editor. Foche-Wulf FW-190A-8/R2 " Wurger " Readme ------------ 1. This is a mod of Wolf257's original FW-190A ( FW-190A-5 ) aircraft. The FW-190A-8/R2 was a field modification intended to give the Luftwaffe more firepower when dealing with the heavily armored Allied four engined bombers such as the B-17, the B-24, and the Lancaster. Primary change was to the armament, with 13mm MG131s replacing the 7.92mm fuselage MGs, and the outboard wing cannon changed to 30mm Mk.108s. Some FW-190A-8s also were modded to carry underwing gunpods with either a single 30mm cannon or twin 20mm MG151s. When these gunpods are released in the future, the FW-190A-8/R2 will be able to carry them, as well as Wgr 21 210mm unguided rockets on their release also. 2. To install, drop the FW190A-8R2 folder in your Objects/Aircraft folder. Then open the " Items You Need To Add To... " folder and follow the instructions included in the readme there. 3. Special thanks goes to Wolf257 for allowing me to mod his "Baby", & Gramps for graciously allowing me to use his JG300 skin. Some of the MiGs ( And a few others ) use the SFP1 F-104G cockpit. To get around that, open the config.ini of the plane you're trying to get working & change the following : Change from this : CockpitDataFile=F-104G_cockpit.ini To this ( For a MiG with Radar ): CockpitDataFile=A-4E_cockpit.ini Or this ( For a MiG without Radar ) : CockpitDataFile=A-4B_cockpit.ini The A-4s are common to both SFP1 & WOV ... Note that some of the earlier aircraft releases ( That have not been updated to SP3 ) will act somewhat funny until a newer version is released...

1st Supersonics ( IAF 1960s MiG Pack ) v1.95 ========================================================================================= INSTALLATION : 1. Drop the folders called "Type 74", "Type76", and "Type 77" into your "Aircraft" directory. for WOV : Wings Over Vietnam/Objects/Aircraft for SFP1 : Strike fighters/Objects/Aircraft 2. For WOV, you should have Patch 1 & the latest Weapons Pack installed. For SFP1, you you have up to SP3 & the Weapons Pack installed. Deuces' Effects Packages are suggested. As are Fubar512's Sounds Packages. Patches & Weapons Pack availible at http://www.combatace.com/ ======================================================================================== Changes In v1.95 : 1. FMs brought up to the current MiG standard by Fubar512. 2. MiG RWR sounds by Fubar512. 3. Updated Type 74 & Type 76 decals by Ghostrider883. 4. New loading screen photo by Ghostrider883. ======================================================================================= Credits : The following people deserve many thanks : 1. Ghostrider883 for his decals, research, & skins. 2. The Wrench, for his excellent Hangarscreen & audio RWR workaround used here. 3. tomcat1974 for his setka3 gunsight .tga 4. MiG radar .tga by Eruyi. Any mistakes are solely mine... The Guys at the SimHQ SFP1 forums, CombatAce, & Column5's forums for inspiration, enlightenment and keeping the faith in allowing SFP1 to mature and grow. ======================================================================================== NOTES: A. This mod is primarily intended for WOV, but was tested in & will work for the earlier SFP1 series Sims. B. v1.8 Changes since the earlier versions in IAF MiG Pack v1.6: 1. As SFP1 becomes more difficult to find, WOV compatibility is crucial. Cockpits of the earlier versions were based on the stock SFP1 F-104G. This has been changed to the A-4B & A-4C pits common to both SFP1 & WOV. Both pits are a stopgap until the SFP1/WOV modding community releases proper MiG cockpits. 2. Availiblity of WOV allows for the more accurate MiG-21PF .LODs as opposed to the earlier PFM LODs in order to reflect the fact the Type 76 was based on the Soviet MiG-21PF, and the Type 77 based on the Soviet MiG-21FL models. Type 74 continues to use the MiG-21F .LODs. IAF 23mm Gunpod continues to be a compromise until such time as a proper GP-9 gunpod is introduced. Droptanks for the Type 74 & Type 76 MiGs are deleted. It is known that the Type 74 used some form of IAF availible non-Soviet droptank, but we still haven't been able to determine which one. Soviet 490 ltr tanks were only introduced with the Type 77. 3. In keeping with further research, all the IAF MiG-21 series now have working Radar Warning Recievers. IAF MiGs were originally fitted with Serina 2 rear hemisphere RWRs then further upgraded. 4. The Indians were initially very skeptical of the MiG-21P ( Fishbed-Cs with the 30mm guns removed ) that the Soviets initially offered for sale. IAF pilots demanded & got the Soviets to jury rig a GP-9 Gunpod to the Type 74 Migs before delivery to India. Type 76 Migs were also supposed to recieve this modification, but the 1965 India-Pakistan War broke out before this could be carried out. During the War, IAF pilots of the 28th "1st Supersonics" Sqdn saw extensive service. Due to a lack of AA-2 missiles, the Type 74s used the gunpod exclusively in battle, while the scarce AA-2 Atolls were reserved for the gunless Type 76 MiGs. Fortunately for the Indians, the Pakistanis also suffered from a shortage of AIM-9B Sidewinders for their F-86F-35 Sabres & F-104A Starfighters. After the 1965 War, the IAF quickly replaced both the Type 74 and Type 76 MiGs with the Type 77s. Soviet Doctrine, which had favored missiles at the expense of guns on fighters, was changed by the combat experiences of the Indians in 1965, and the North Vietnamese during the 1960s... ======================================================================================== Enjoy! Where's Mighty Mouse?

Actually, MontyCZ did the F-89D. Like USAFMTL said, we didn't have the Mighty Mouse in game back then. F-89C & F-94B were both "Gun" fighters. F-86D, F-86L, F-89D, F-89J, F-94C, F-101, F-102, CF-101 were the birds designed to carry Mighty Mouse rockets only... -

MiG-17F, #3020 Air Force of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam, 923rd Fighter Regiment Yen The, late 1960ies. this aircraft has become one of the most famous "green snakes" of the Vietnamese air force since it's public display in the late 1960ies. it sports 8 kill marks, amassed by different pilots. #3020 was allegedly flown by six-kill ace Le Hai when he shot down a F-4, 14. june 1968. popular narratives connect this aircraft with a dog fight between US-Navy aces Cunningham / Driscoll and the elusive "Col. Tomb" on 10.mai 1972. as of today there is no sign that this Vietnamese "super ace" ever existed outside U.S.-circles, and there is no reason to believe that this aircraft was involved in this fight. however, #3020 does not seem to have survived the war, since it is not displayed in Viet Nam which almost certainly would have been the case if it still existed. -

Pasko has plans for a KC-135. Below is a Readme for the only Tanker done to date ( at Avsim IIRC ): --------------------------------------------------------------------- Airbus A310 Addon for Strike Fighters Project 1 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanation: ------------------ This *.zip file contains two folders, called "A310" and "A310z". The first "A310" is the Airbus A310 MRTT (Multi Role Transport Tanker) of the German Air Force. Its equipped with one Refuel pod on each wing tip. The second folder "A310z" is the civil Airliner version of the A310, without the refueling pods. IMPORTANT!!! Both aircraft are only set up as AI planes, because there is no support for transport missions by the player. Both are just a little addon to color the skies of Strike Fighters. If you wish to steer one of those, simply add to the "A310.ini" or "A310z.ini" the following lines: CockpitDataFile=F-100D_cockpit.ini HangarScreen=F-100D_hangar.bmp Installation: ---------------- Unzip both folders included in this *.zip file to your "Strike-Fighters\Objects\Aircraft" folder. If you wish to steer one of those, simply add to the "A310.ini" or "A310z.ini" the following lines: CockpitDataFile=F-100D_cockpit.ini HangarScreen=F-100D_hangar.bmp ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoy the chance, to practice in air refueling. ;-) Florian "AmokFloo" Schneider -
