Next weekend will be Europe, specially in France, D-Day rememberd. It is than 60 years ago that the allies take a foot on land and freed Europe. I have been 10 years ago in France to see it myself. The five invasion beaches, Pont Du Hoc, Saint Mere Eglise, the Pegasus Bridge and not forgotten the big cemetary at the beach of Omaha. Crosses lay row on row. That was very impressive. You see on one side the beach and the other side the graves of the soldiers. Remember some soldiers died on the beach and were further in France after their live. For everybody that never been there in France. Go and see it with respect for the Allies of WW2. It is good to see what you read or heard of veterans. This time I can go or see it on tv, but I will Remember the people that gave their lives for Freedom in Europe. Salute Dutchy

For the Iraqi Freedom did the Airforce fly over or by Iraq and broadcast radio propaganda thru the Iraqi radio's. It was last on tv (Belgium). It was a black operation. I can't remember that operation name. Maybe somebody know it. They are not in big numbers those special Hercs. Salute Dutchy

Okay folks, here a funny story what I read today. Eglin AFB has a new radarfrequency that is so strong or on the same level as automatic garagedoors. So when a car comes home, his owner wanna open the door of the garage it is locked. :D It is serious a problem for the people that live near the base. I find it funny, the Airforce blocked doors in the neighbourhood. Sometimes new stuff, is not so good for everybody. Salute Dutchy

Last night I saw on the Dutch tv a American doc. from 1970 about My Lai. A interview with 5 guys that were there. It was a little bit shocking how you can hear about normal soldiers how they killed civilians. It is not good.....but in presure of war, your mates are blew up thru landmines. Something snap in your head and all get blacked out. The doc. was on tv because the jailabuse in Iraq is hot news. I can understand that they do it (think about the Americans the hanged on the bridge and grenates and other stuff that blew up cars etc.etc.), but it is not right. What is the opinion here? Mine meaning is. It is not good, but I can understand it. Salute Dutchy

I found his name on the CNN website. Yesterday is the first Dutch soldier killed in Iraq. Hopely we don't send our troops back to homeland, like Spain. We shall stay....I hope. Salute Dutchy
