ok,,so once i have an attachment uploaded,,,there is no way to link to that attachment in another post i might make a week later,,(like that bbcode you get with pics in your album) which is no problem,,,easy to just upload the attachment again when i need to. Just thought there might be a link to them.

thout i had tried that before......... you cant upload files to an album,,,juts pics i guess you could rename file.rar to file.jpeg and try and fool it...

Occaisionally have to add a file to "my attachments" to put into a post for someone. Then someone else needs the same file, but rather than dig thru for the old thead with the attatchment, i would like to be able to just insert the file that I have already uploaded into another post. But cant figure out how to do that..

lol....ok,,,mute point as it turns out.. i just reran madmats installer to load those missions so i could try it out for you,,and from what i see,,madmat took them out because of the problem with the plane,,,,,so,,you dont need that plane after all...unless,,you happen to have the games that came with the older madmat install,,,one of the missions was called axes gauntlet if i remeber...

sorry rickity,,,,went back to work,,and gotta shut this down when im working..too much flour gets into the computer (seriously.....) just copy that folder (nieuport17_axe) into your obd\cfsww1 overflandersfields\aircraft folder...and i beleve that should do it..

dutch,,,if you figure out a way,,,let us know...,,but,,i dont think it can be done somewhere,,,something is encrpted (or so ive heard).....this is why you cant do a "save" of the game, and if you pilot gets killed,,,just reload the save.... but,,its all a mute point,,,will be very surprised if just rerunning cfs3config and redoing your settings does not solve the problem... dont confuse this with the reset,,,where it tells you you will loose all your pilot/campaing data,,,just hit the "graphics config" link in workshop....

ok,, and just so you know,,there are a bunch of missions in there by ax that call for a plane you dont have,,,so dont freak when you get that error message......

yes,,if you put a mission in the appropirate scenarios/nation folder, it will show up from the drop down when you get into the game from the scenarios link...<BR><BR>and you cant hurt anything by putting a mission in the wrong folder,,,..the worse thing that can happen is all the friendly planes will be red,,,all the enemy planes will be blue,,,and it seems like everyone is shooting at you cause they dont have a clue what side you are on... <BR><BR><BR>but, to answer your other question,,,,getting to missions in training or historical folderr,,,you have to start the game,,go to multiplayer,,,say start/fly at next window,,,and then you end up with the screen with the 2 medals....mission and multiplayer,,<BR><BR>if you select the mission medal,,,you see all the same missions that you will see in the multiplayer medal, but from the mulitplayer medal you have a little more control over what plane you select....and if you want you can join either side,,,,<BR><BR>im trying to post a link to a thread, but doesnt seem to want to work <BR>xxx<A href="http://xxxforum.combatace.com/index.php?app=members&module=messaging&section=view&do=showConversation&topicID=35601">http:xxx//xxxforum.combatace.com/index.php?app=members&module=messaging&section=view&do=showConversation&topicID=35601</A><BR>so just pick whatever method works best for you

ok,,dutch,,, i found my configoverides.xml,,renamed it something else,,and ran off,,,and got the same message as you. i exited the game,,and ran cfs3config (and allll my old setting where gone,,so you owe me).....redid my settings,,,exitied out of that,,and went back and it had rewritten my configoverides.xml file... so im pretty sure thats all you have to do too.......

rerunning the cfs3config doesnt fix that problem???? im not so sure you have to reinstall.... and,,unless someone has figured out something that i dont know about,,,you cant "backuup" your pilots......if you reinstall,,you will loose them...

firecage.....if you can get on earlier than the game,,,will do what i can to get you squared away with teamspeak,,,and make sure you have all the files you need for multiplayer... teamspeak.com (all you need is the client 5.5mb) and of course a mic is always helpful... madmats installer....http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...oad&id=9131 this will put in the addons you have to have,,,as well as some other neat stuff.. i should be free by 7pm edt...but may have some free time in btween too......will watch this thread, so let me know whatever times are good for you and btw,,we do very little "pilot vrs pilot",,,so you will be flying with us,,not against us...

lol...sorry,,should read your post all the way thru....or you where posting when i was posting... I would find the other gotha folder that you have,,,and delete that one,,,and then rerun madmats installer...and put his back in.. realise that the other one has not been causing you problems in the past,,,but as madmatts works for everyone else,,thats the one i would use..

you have the gotha in there twice.. the game does not look at the folders name for planes,,it looks at the files INSIDE the folder to see whats there..so if you have the gotha files in a folder called rickety,,it will still find them... so...look thru your aircraft folders,,,,,you must have one called GOTHA, cause thats what madmat puts in there,,,in addition to that,,you have another somewere,,,might be under 60ai gotha..

yes,,i use the rudder,,and if i remeber right, did not have to set any of the axis in the contoller,,,they all got assigned just fine as defaults..... depending on what controller you have,,,when you do to control panel/game conrollers/properties you may, or may not get a "calibrate" option. Its a funtion of the firmware that they built into some of the conrollers. some have it,,some dont. if you dont get the calibrate, you do get a window where you can move all the axis's around, and see the result, and its sort of "self calibrating" Its a tough stick,,and will take abuse,,,just try not to squezze the trigger with too much,,,or lay into the rudder too much,,,these are what always seem to go first..
