I think it would be a good idea to have everything oldpaint is refering to in one location thats handy to find, (ie,, a sticky off the mod thread), or anything that we dont have to search for, or post links to for other players.

I dont have vista, so i have never had to go thru all the hassles it seems to present with this game, but, to be honest, i have never seen another post that said xp compatiblity mode was "broken". im sure your references to the fact that it has been posted in other forum are accurate, just never seen that problem here. And, like i said, all the other posts have indicated that this is has solved alot of problems with off2 and vista. Excuse me if i am asking a stupid question, but when you renamed the cfs3.exe to shell.exe, you meant the cfs3.exe that resides in the overflandersfields directory, and not the microsoft games/cfs3 directory (its been done before by otheres) Its been a while since i had off2 installed on a computer, so kinda forget what the executables where. What i am trying to remeber is if there is a seperate exe for the offmanager, and another one for a cfs3.exe. If so, you might want to try getting into the game by just dbl clicking the cfs3.exe, and see how far that gets you. And as far as the how to, i think that was on our old site, and as they crashed a little while ago, not sure if it was restored.

I had trackir 4 with the software 4.build39, and put on trackir5 software package. have always played with the stock "combat" profile, with no modifications to curves. Interface on trackir5 was great, but it definatly was a little "jumpy" in the game. movement was not as smooth as it was with trackir 4. Couple others noticed the same thing. ended up uninstalling trackir5. but,,,try it yourself,,,it does not modify your trackir ver4 installation in any manner. You can have both installed at the same time if you wish.

what are you using to extract? Old versions of winrar are not compatible with files archived with newer versions (ie,..you need winrar3.0 or higher)

put them in training,,,,then you can access them thru all avenues....least thats what i do

will be trying out stumps gotha mission with stump shortly., not sure how many of the addon files you need to play the game and/or see the mission properly. You will need the gotha. on teamspeak, and not sure if stump will host, or me game is down...sorry for forgeting ip

I understand completely, and have no problems with that. Which is why i asked, before putting up the files. Now, dont suppose you know if these files "belong" to someone, or can be distributed?

Well, have asked for a policy, or guidelines, and have never gotten a reply. So, i am taking the stand if i don't know,,,ask first.. Im guessing it was an oversight on stumps part that he had them, and didnt realise they were not a stock part of Bhah. And, i dont have a clue who orignailly built these files. I belive they are included in cfs1, and they are also in eto.

I did a quick look at the latest gotha missions, did not go thru the whole thing on either, but with no problems. If i get time will go thru them entirely, and let you know, but as yet, no problems. As far as rockets and zepplins, i do belive thats all you get when you use your rockets. If you want to see exploding flames etc, etc,,,,use bullets.

Im pretty sure its not going to be 1.30c, so you might as well go ahead and get the 1.30 full patch, the 1.30c mini patch, and whatever optional damagae model (or both)

I think if you go to your obd folder, and run the cfs3config.exe, it will solve your problem. Or you can go to workshop, and hit the "graphics config" button, that opens cfs3config too as always, after you have run thru all the settings, and made your adjustments, make sure you exit cfs3config with FILE>EXIT, and not by using the X in the upper right. just to check it out, i renamed my configoverides.xml to oldconfigoverides.xml, and ran cfs3config.exe, and it rebuilt the configsoverides.xml file. hope it works for u

Stumpjumper, and hopefully a handfull of others plan to forgo sleeping in late this sunday in order to have a multiplayer game up around noon edt, which converts to something in the order of 5pm for you Brits. There have been a couple of pilots over there that have shown an interested in flying with us online, and this is a good oppurtunity to get together. And of course,,anyone from anywhere is more than welcome to join. Definatly a just for fun occaision. A lot of good missions have been put up lately, and it would be great to give a few of them a go. Not saying a yank vrs brit furball is out of the question... Just to make this as smooth as possible, anyone not familiar with mp should go over this. If we could get guidlines on what we can, and cannot use when when either ul missions, or making files available for download in the posts so others can fly missions that require them, it would be helpfull.

Yeah, thanks alot stump. Raf_louvert is filling in a much needed void on missions, and its good to see that we are doing all we can to support his efforts. Look forward to doing that mission
