  1. I usually start out with a 2 seater career....then after a bunch of hours or a few promotions I "transfer" to a fighter squad, like many real aces did. -Rooster
  2. Ahh thanks SD. For some reason I couldnt get to it without the link. Found the thread too. Looks like a simple click on the old "Reset CFS3" button oughta do it. Be sure to back up my DiD pilot first. -Rooster
  3. Ooops didnt attach right.
  4. Would be awesome to go......really wish I had a passport, and a couple days off from work to make the trek. -Rooster
  5. Thanks Duck and Griphos. I know those are the correct settings for seeing bullet holes, but I remember that others werent seeing any as well (I guess you have the same problem Griphos). I know that Middle from SoH had the problem too and it was corrected. Winder or Pol posted a fix for this at SoH but...everythings gone now, and I cant remember what it was. -Rooster
  6. I agree with Scout. Claims/Reports were usually filled out right after the pilot landed, while the adrenaline still might be pumping and some moments were still fuzzy in the pilots mind (due to the heat of the battle), or the details hadnt been cleared up with squadmates yet. I thinks the claims form is just right. -Rooster
  7. Nobody remembers? -Rooster
  8. Hope you feel better soon Taffy. I wouldnt fly my best pilot on all those meds. I'd end up doing a Willy Coppens and try to land on a gas bag! Seriously, hope you feel better. -Rooster
  9. Vilkommen Herr Baron! Gut to zee zat zee Krumpet menace didnt hole your plane up too bad on zee vay over, and your heer in von pieze. Yep. Everybody is here, and were already having a heck of a good time  -Rooster
  10. I have my aircraft sliders at 5 and the resolution is set at "Normal Res" for aircraft, but I cant see any bullet holes or tears on my AC. I remember that there is a way to correct this but I forgot exactly what to do. Can someone refresh my memory? -Rooster
  11. Cool. Thanks Siggi. Hopefully I'll get a young Fleiger up there soon. -Rooster
  12. Got it all sorted out guys. I had to do a fresh install of OS and then hook it up to the internet and then update all the drivers one by one from microsoft update/ manufacturer's websites ect. The mobo drivers that came on the cd were useless with my setup. Had to get a new network card too. For some reason or another the onboard one isnt functioning properly, but after I got one everything worked ok. I installed several programs and no CRCs. Once I get it hooked up to the internet at my house I'll post some BHAH screenies......something I can finally do without being ashamed of the image. I'll revive this thread if anything else goes haywire but fingers are crossed. Thanks for all the help, I'm finally OFF! -Rooster
  13. Thanks for re-posting all of these Shred, loved the bit about the armory section. -Rooster
  14. Thanks Stumper, I've been toying around with Gmax for about a week now. It's tough stuff but once you get a handle on what everything does and the correct menus for what exactly you wish to achieve, its not so bad. Im still working on the latter half. lol. So far Ive made a fuselage for an A.E.G. C.IV. Needs more work though. Prost, -Rooster
  15. Awesome screenies Catfish. 1903 Champagne, I hope? -Rooster
  16. LOL. No worries Parky. I hope he can get this mess sorted. If he cant I'll definately PM you. Good to have you back. -Rooster
  17. Thanks almccoyjr. Yes, I think the best thing to do is a fresh start, re-installing the OS. I'll do everything you said and take it slow. Since its Friday night I have all night. And even then if I cant get it working, my girlfriends dad said I could bring it over tomarrow. He knows way more about all this than I do! He can probably get me up and running. This is my first build so....its definately been a learning experience. Thanks again, -Rooster
  18. Well, its Windows XP Pro SP1....so thats 64bit right? Another note, when installing things the error reads "cyclic redundancy error". -Rooster
  19. Put me down Siggi. Im in too. -Rooster
  20. Thanks guys. I have it working now but the mobo is running the stock mickysoft drivers. Everything seems to work fine like this. Once I get the internet hooked up to it I will try again. Seems the mobo drivers that came on the cd aren't jiving with the setup. PS. I had to try to install CFS3 three times, it had a problem creating folders in C:Program Files. But I finally got it to go after running CHKDSK twice. Could this be realated to the previous problem, and not having mobo drivers installed? -Rooster
  21. WOW! Your the man Fates. Love the top banner. Can I have it? -Rooster
  22. Yep 130 MK2 . I like to have it as real as it gets, and it is. Its really tough to live very long though.....but it is a war. Happy flying man, -Rooster
  23. Will do Siggi. First, I have to get this mess all sorted out (see "First Technical Question") and then he's over the mud once again! -Rooster
  24. No worries Catch. Im gonna figure this out if it kills me. I have my girlfriends dad helping me over the phone right now, so I'll see what he can come up with. Thanks Gary I'll give that a go too. Right now I'm going to try getting the latest drivers for the mobo and see if that cures the problem. Maybe my drivers CD was corrupted or something. (It's a pain though because my new pc isnt hooked up to the internet so I have to DL the drivers on this PC and then burn them to a cd. lol) -Rooster
