I guess, we have yet to receive a good modern WW1 air combat film. So far, they were all more or less biased in favour of the nation they were made by. It would be very welcome, if they could do a proper job in presenting all the known historical facts right, without any additional emotional trimming, without making one side look as the good boys and the other as the badies; one side clever and smart, other side fools and idiots etc. - without all those old rotten war film clichees.

Damn, yeah, let's get some good English brews down our throats - maybe that will wash Llwewellyn Dej Gruffyd Rhys' determined gunsight look away for one night? A BOC cohort is hopefully not a British short for "Boche" I hope? Ah, and if so - nevermind - I'll have a pint of "Drayman's Delight", please!

Jeeze, theu, my THRUSTMASTER FlightStick X costs 30 Dollar in the US of A. The next best thing, if pedals are too expensive. http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T-Flight-Stick-X-Flight-Pc/dp/B000WHFQ0K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309195238&sr=8-1 .

Perfectly right again there, Lou. If the devs would ask me, if I'd rather wait another 15 months to give them time to make it as great a change as BHaH+HitR were to P2, then I'd vote: "Yes!" All the French and British carreers there are still to be flown... Nope, sorry Sir, but I must object - what we need is more flying time! .
-
I guess, Hasse Wind is right - the French need a two-seater more urgently. I have no idea which one would be the most urgent French two-seats, so I picked this one, which I like just for it's characteristic special looks: the Caudron G IV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caudron_G.4 .
-
Thank you for helping - now I got it right and shining! I changed it above! Thank you for working out all the medals the fine way you did, Lou. Keeps the waiting for P4 bearable!
-
But I thought these were the new medals???? Or do you mean, I must switch it over by hand still? Oh, and you asked for my pilot license: here it is, Sir! (Well, actually it's that of his brother Jürgen.)
-
Thank you again for the reminder, Lou! Here's the changed Log of my "most serious" Campaign pilot with Jasta 2:
-
...seems they forgot the TV!
-
Seeing all your well pronounced reasons, LIMA, and (halfways) knowing the OBD team for some time now, I am sure that this two-seater is on their list. Somewhere. The question is, where it ranks in "urgency". P4... P5... who knows? I sign it anyway.
-
I followed it for some time, when I had "Player Stats" active. The percentage varied from 17 - 22 %. The closer you get, the more hits. But I use long range shots at EA I can't get at, cause they are faster or climb better. That spoils the percentage.
-
UncleAl, the pilots didn't know their hit percentage, did they? They knew - perhaps - if they had brought their opponent down; not more. And as long as I sometimes shoot down more than one aircraft per mission, my hit percentage must still rather be too good?

Yes, sure! A "Fee" it must be. The DH-2 doesn't have three vertical wing struts per side. -
One of the finest examples for one of the nicest insanities, Lou! I think I will make me a scratchpad with my personal emblem too, if I should receive the "Blue Max". Had forgotten where to look - thank you for the reminder! That cat, by the way, is a fine emblem - she looks quite "battle-weary", but still proud and determined.
-
Looks much like a wireless mouse already IMHO.

I grant all that to you, tranquillo, really. Such a break must be lifting one's spirits. I haven't realised my vague plan of travelling to Flanders this year - all my extra money went into the computer upgrade (but it was worth it!). So maybe next year I'll finally do it, before I'm getting too old (I'll go there by bicycle, with a tent and camping stuff!)
-
Ooooooppss!!! Absolutely right, Hasse Wind - even more elevating my argument: it IS an add-on.

What are you chasing the "Eini" with, TaillyHo - is that a DH-2 in the distance? -
Naw, Beard, here I disagree. A patch would just eliminate mistakes. "Hat in the Ring" came with a much improved AI, several scenery improvements, and then not to forget, 2 totally new aircraft - the Nieuport 28 and the DH-5. So it is definitely far more than even a huge a patch - it is an "Add-on" worth the name surely.

That was a trick to find out, if Paul Blum is still alive & flying, Lou. And it worked! Naw, I know you tried the D.II; now I need to lure you into the D.V or even the D.Va, which is really outclassed by most enemy fighters at her time. And there, I thought, such a neat new skin might come in handy! -
Yeah, why not have a "P4 package cover" Since a long time I'm planning to actually paint a large WW1 air combat picture, but never had the extra kick of motivation. A competition would fire that a lot. I think I'd choose a "crowded" 1918 scene, possibly with a Snipe in there.

No problem, Widow - I would even like to see the results. It is not that I'd mind such weathering at all. I may even make me some very battle-worn Albatros for Jasta that were very much in the line of fire, like Jasta 4. So, feel free to do with it whatever you like . and please show a picture when you're ready. By the way - the "rubbed-off" Iron Crosses on your Albatros are masterly, Sir. -

There are different likes about skins - factory-fresh or well cared for on the one side, and battle-strained and weathered on the other. They all have their fans, and that's okay. Personally, I find, that aircraft were not in service very long - Cole Palen's Albatros looked so old, because it WAS really very old. If we watch the D.Va of "THE VINTAGE AVIATOR" over the time, we may see, that it will still look pretty new after months - just because it is getting well cared for. But as I said - everyone his own likes. For those who like the factory-new ones, I will very soon release several Albatros D.V and D.Va, as I had mentioned elsewere already. I'm in the final "battles" - the crosses on the rudder fin get awfully distorted, which means, that I have to distort mine in the opposit way, to get them to look right on the 3D model. Very straining stuff - changes, convert to DDS, start OFF, test-fly the skin, take screenshots, and back to Photoshop to change the mistakes you found. But after countless hours, I believe I have made skins which may even lure you into the cockpit of an Albatros, RAF_Louvert. And those who love weathering, can do anything on them they like. These are generic skins, so everyone can attach their own designs, emblems or letters. Here is another appetizer the D.Va with Lozenge fabric, built by OAW (Ostdeutsche Albatros-Werke).: -
Cheers, tranquillo! You lucky blighter, you: knowing people in Italy! I envy you! (But in a friendly way)

You're the "weather(ing) man", Widow! Well done! That is a fine red dragon you painted on that D.III ! You will soon get several factory-new Albatros D.V and D.Va in the download section. They will almost scream for your front service weathering.
