  1. Update 08/10/09 12:05 Berlin time horowae, Germany, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  2. Widow, knocking out only your guns was our way of friendly warfare. Be glad we let you go home again. It happened to me too, yesterday. One of your colleagues managed to make just a very small hit on my bird, and my guns where out. His luck - I would have sent him through the barley roasting procedure.
  3. Welcome in the cockpit, Horowae Your English is near perfect; the guys will understand you right, I think. You can post any difficult questions in German, if that works better for you - here are some Germans or German speaking people on board (Creaghorn, Gremlin, Hasse Wind, and me). But you will find out, that you get much more into this great community, when you use the international language. Stay aloft, and clear skies! May you always see your opponents, before they see you. Olham
  4. Sounds like someone lost those claims down the back of the cabinet. Sometimes, zee realism of ziss sim is killink mee, Herr Polovski. I hav to shoot down zee double amount off crumpetz to get zee claim level right!
  5. One picture from my railyard attack in a Bristol Fighter - great craft!
  6. Here's a picture of my Bavarian Lady. When the skin is completed, I'll make her downloadable.
  7. Hey, Bullet! The man to give the most professional answers must be Hasse Wind, cause he survived quite some time in a Pfalz campaign. But as those northern Fins (Finlanders?) may be in bed now, I'll try some. 1.) DON'T call the lady a Bavarian brick - she'll react like all ladies - she'll fly like one. 2.) At 100 feet, everything's dangerous; I never change my turn direction; make them dizzy! 3.) I always found it hard to stall the Pfalz, and as you say - she recovers easily. 4.) Her turn I found really so good, I even fought Camels in her. (Don't know why Hasse Wind didn't do that?) 5.) I go to bed now - you found out more about the Pfalz already, than I could tell yer.
  8. Well, I have those zags, but no wonder with an ATI RADEON X1900. You shouldn't have them, I'd say. Make sure there are no programs running in the background; switch of Internet security, run sim on HIGHEST possible resolution. Perhaps worth a try: adjust TrackIR to a less aggressive "yaw".
  9. Update 08/10/09 00:54 Berlin time BadBud, California, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  10. Beware, Widow, old chap - German Flak is now furious!
  11. Without having read all the previous post, I want to repeat something, another OFF simmer recently said so true: "You don't play OFF - you live it!" That's absolutely right. If you don't get nervous in your dogfights here - then you don't have nerves at all. And about eyecandy: RoF has the more beautiful water. All the rest of the landscape (and we're not in the Navy here) looks much better in OFF. Now, enough talking - must climb my Albatros cockpit again! Perhaps I see you over the lines, Michal. Oh, and if you decide for OFF, please send me a PM with your hometown and country, so I can add you to our "OFF Pilots Planet" maps. Okay?
  12. Ah, you mean "Kegeln" - yes, I know that, but I could never remember who won.
  13. Paris must wait - I have duties at the front!
  14. Fish 'n Chips is okay sometimes! Had that in London. But what's "skittles"?
  15. BuB, if I have to patrol the lines, I usually stay on our side more, to avoid too much Archie. And the AA seems to be really dense now!
  16. Could only download the patch this evening, and so I have so far only made one flight. But that was phantastic. Airfield defense at Le Clos Ferme (in May 1917). At our takeoff, I saw lots of things around the tents and hangars; then the fields had heaps of mowed gras, were striped with crop, or ploughed - very nice! When we reached Le Clos Ferme, we saw lots of Flak puffs, even in the distance - dozens of them! The Flak fire, plus the front line artillery, added to an incredible battlesound. The Nupes seemed to last longer now - or did I shoot worse? Our whole fighting stretched out more; less furball. I found it easier to concentrate on an enemy. But that may be just coincidence. Can't wait 'till the next flight tomorrow!
  17. Update 08/09/09 22:42 Berlin time stickshaker, Netherlands, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  18. Ah! There it is - Newcastle Brown Ale! Had that, when I was in Derby, on a trip further up north. Good ale!
  19. Hey, Widow! I had thought, you had left and gone over the ocean, to the US of A. Good to have you back here. Just remember to wear a RED scarf, and I won't shoot at you! (As long as you don't, of course).
  20. So, some find her simulated too hard in some aspects, while others found her too easy to fly. In a tail-down spin, use of ailerons should help against the spin. The Camel killed many pilots through her unpredictable torque/steering reactions. So when you die in her - you're not alone.
  21. That's definitely new. And the bicycle can even fly?! Have just downloaded the super-patch, and will install it tomorrow, after making a backup of C and F drives.
  22. Can you have an outside view? Please, post pics, Jim - the bewitched rocket-bicycle!
  23. Thanks for the tip, Bullet - I'll send David Oldham to the 48 then! Action!! Oh, and the Fees - you can keep them for the men with no fighter experience. I was born with fangs in my mouth!
  24. Creaghorn, just to tease you: the patch is just out now! While you get fat and fatter in the family clans, I will keep the skies clear of crumpets, until your return. Have a very nice time and enjoy every minute - you'll be back inbetween Heaven and Hell soon enough. PS: a friend of mine saw a bright yellow-green snake on Krk last year - do you know that reptile's name?
  25. NEW INCLUDES NEW TERRAIN PATCH. More detail, sharper NEW TEXTURES and more. Would you say, it will also "eat" more frps, or is it the same sizewise? NEW "AIR START" OPTION FOR CAMPAIGN! That's good - now I can have "quickies" with campaign pilots. Well, quite a lot of improvements, great! UncleAl, as you haven't updated since 1.28 - this is the Patch for you!
