Actually Sun Tzu's book did helped the NVA and the VC kicked our butts in Vietnam. The generals in North Vietnam also used the Game "GO" for tactical ideas. Our Generals use "Chess" tactics. IMHO US Generals and Spec Ops officers need to read "Art of War" and play "GO"; from I'm seeing in the news, Terriosts are using similiar tactics that NVA and VC was using ie Ambushes and Boobie traps (IED's) And I'd give a copy of "Art of War" to Pres. From the demo, the claim is true but the way they modeled the banking will be difficult to get use to. Good DM but sometimes my spit had huge holes and it didn't really affect the performance, although I think that is because its the demo. Graphics are stunning on my 8800gtx. I'm gonna get it, its like XBOX's Birds of Prey. Falcon PS. To test out the settings, you hafta try the demo's campigan, it has a difficulty slider on the campigan menu.

Anybody know how to map my trigger to fire the guns? Cant seem to figure it out. Falcon PS. Am using the demo version.

OK we are not thinking the same mission. I'm talking about a 2 part mission. The first part was to sneak in a Soviet fleet that a huge carrier was a target by being in a 4 ship formation of captured Soviet torpedo bombers. This part was easy. The hard part of this was to escape to your carrier in that bomber. If you escaped and landed, the second part was to defend your carrier from a Soviet torpedo attack. The carrier had a Japanese squad, I don't remember my carrier's name unfortunately. Its been a long while since I played it. Anyway that's the mission I'm talking about. I just couldn't beat it. I think the Victorious mission is the mission I'm talking bout. If I remember correctly, there was one wave of enemy bombers on right side, in front and left side. The first part was easy -- where you had to pilot a enemy bomber in formation, that was cool. Falcon

The difficulty was on normal, but the thing is that different guns had different effective ranges. Even if you see the blind fire cue that doesn't mean the shots will hit. Trust me, I tried every tactic from milking energy to make my fighter to go faster to reach the enemy ships before they launch to hitting my burners to reach the enemy ships on the other side. The thing is that every time you try again the mission gets harder, from my pov anyway. Even if I destroyed one side I was too far away to reach the other side. And yes I targeted some torps to tell my AI wingmen to attack too. IMHO The mission was impossible to succeed. Falcon

Was into heavily in Wing Commander, MW series and Heavy Gear. Also I was a Wolf3d fanatic, I played it a lot that I memorized the paths to the keys LOL. But Heavy Gear was cool, I loved making variants of Mechs. From fast, heavy armed scouts to Heavy armed and armored Mech killers. Falcon

Starlancer, meh, I love and hate it. I loved the morale model and the ships. I hated the "defend the carrier" mission where you need to shoot down multiple torpedos.. After 100th time which failed I said to myself "Screw it" and uninstalled the game. Did anybody beat that mission? Its the multi part mission, first you piloted a captured Soviet torp ship, and get close to a Soviet carrier, destroy it, run back to your carrier, and re launch in a fighter and defend yours from massive torp attack.
